What did you do to or on your Kubota today?

Thank you. The condition is great for its age. Based on S/N info, I believe it was made in 2007. Bought it used at the end of 2018 with 977 hours on it (1603 as of today). It's kept inside, maintained well and waxed at least once a year. If you zoom in on the picture above, you can see the...

New MX 4900 on the way - Cab features?

Snapped this today after changing oil (1603 hours).

What did you do to or on your Kubota today?

Changed oil today at 1603 hours. Last time was June of 2024 (about 150 hours ago). I often don't go the full number of hours on maintenance items. It may cost a few extra bucks, but it makes me feel better. It had been getting dusty, then I did some mowing in the rain. The spots all over...

Kubota B2400 - Oil drain plug directly above loader bracket??

Often a piece of cardboard, scrap piece of sheet metal, cutoff plastic bottle, etc works fine. It looks like the MMM isn't doing any favors.

EDC question ( Asking for a friend)

I know a guy who found the perfect pistol (several times). One is this Springfield compact LW. He found it at the LGS and it followed him home. Before it had any miles on it, he spent a lot of time wearing the knife-sharp edges off of it. Then it made a trip to Robar (RIP) for their NP3 finish.

New MX 4900 on the way - Cab features?

The seat in mine is some kind of miracle cloth. Just over 1600 hours and it still looks new. A couple times I managed to get a little black grease on it and by the next time I used it, the black spots were gone.

    Purchasing a 2005 BX2350 to replace a 1988 7200 4x4

Welcome aboard! If the B7200 is being manhandled by the boats, I'd look at something that's bigger and heavier than what you already have. A quick look indicated the BX2350 is about the same weight as the B7200.

    GWT Quick Hitch

It looks like the QH width is excessive for the spacing on your implement.

New MX 4900 on the way - Cab features?

You'll love the cab. Other than the obvious relief from heat and cold, the air is better to breather. Dust and pollen have always affected me. Lung fung after mowing was frequently a problem certain times of the year. Defrost - Mine doesn't have anything beyond a bunch of adjustable air...

What size wrench. Large locknut on adjuster bar for boxblade

Since it doesn't take a lot of torque to stay in place, I use the metric Channellocks kept in the onboard tool bag.

personal protection in the heat, ticks, poison ivy?

I haven't had much trouble with ticks and can generally avoid poison ivy. When I do need to be out in the sun, my attire is lighter-colored lightweight pants (like decommissioned khaki), wide brimmed hat and a loose fitting white / very light cotton shirt. My arms feel cooler with a white...

Lx 4020 rops or cab (or 3520 cab)

Lots of cab/no cab discussions. I wouldn't be without a cab. With regard to working in tight quarters, reviewing specs can be valuable. Below is part of a post of mine from a while back after using the L4240 and thinking it felt more nimble than the L3200 it replaced. After buying the 4240...

    Front loader for a B7200

Paul, the bucket on my L4240 measured 3/16" thick steel for the bucket and its ends. Where the top of the bucket is rolled back it joins a 3/8" thick bent piece that accepts the top of the tractor's QA pad and reinforcement of the back of the bucket. See pics 1 & 7. Most of this is 3/8"...

    quick attach 3 point

There are implements that want to fight occasionally - concrete barrel counterweight is the first one that comes to mind. There's a pinch bar just inside the shed door to help make it comply.

    quick attach 3 point

Many years ago I bought a QH and it sat in the shed until I scavenged part (most) of it for a recent project. I liken the QH to the Ruger .22 pistol takedown kit - an unnecessary solution. Connecting implements to the 3PH is not difficult enough for me to justify spending the effort to make...

    Discovered something while mowing.

Different PTO speeds work better for me in different seasons / grass conditions. The grass varies from thick and juicy to thinner and drier depending upon the weather and time of the season. One setting doesn't work the best all the time. It's been pretty wet here up until a week or so ago...
