Increasing L6060 loader and BH lift capacity

My thought, for what it's worth- it's how I process this consideration. There are more factors than just strength/lifting capacity. The more weight, the more stress. I am interested in both capability and longevity. I'd rather pace myself, and work within the limits of my machine, while at the...

Pinhole leak in metal hydraulic line

JB Weld works good at what it's designed for, but you are expecting it to contain high pressure by bonding to the exit of the oil. You don't have much to lose by trying, but keep your expectations low. If it were mine, I'd bite the bullet and buy the new line. Fix it once, right, and don't look...

Kubota BX2230 engine sound, is it normal?

Welcome to the forum! Before proceeding, I would double check all of the assorted parts in the engine bay. It looks like the air filter housing is moving excessively, for instance. Any loose parts can contribute noise, so I would eliminate that before isolating the engine as the source.

Advice for evaluating models of used finish mowers

The first thing that I look at is the shell. If it is bent up, shows rock hits, torn skirts, etc., I keep walking. How the mower was used will give me my first clue in how they maintained it. Used is fine. Abused, no.

Anyone here have a Kaufman dump trailer?

It was standard on the 16' dump trailer when I bought it. May 23, 2017. Barn doors, or they would lock and the gate would swing down, or swing at the top as a dump gate. I only used them as barn doors, to dump manure. It would lift any load I put in it, and the only issue that I ever had was a...

Anyone here have a Kaufman dump trailer?

I've used other brands, and looked at lots of them. Kaufman isn't the best, or the worst. In my opinion, they are an excellent value- for the price, you get a solid trailer with great support.

Anyone here have a Kaufman dump trailer?

One of the NC plant salesman contacts me every year and checks to see if we are still happy or have any issues, and he sends a Christmas card. He's done both for 10 years now. Their customer service is very personal and excellent.

Why I like my ‘bota best and don’t want a new JD

Is there any modern tractor that doesn't use proprietary systems? We have 2 John Deere tractors- a 790 and a 5065E- and they are utterly reliable. If I were shopping new, I'd look real close at a Deutz Fahr 4065E. Lots of tractor for the money.

Anyone here have a Kaufman dump trailer?

Kauffman offers two different bed thicknesses. I haven't had any paint fall off of my trailers. It chips, which any paint will do, but nothing is peeling or falling off.

Anyone here have a Kaufman dump trailer?

I owned a 16', and I am on my second Kaufman gooseneck trailer. They are a good value. I've had no issue with any of the 3. We used the dump trailer to move horse manure, and sold it because my dad prefers a dump truck (shorter for maneuvering). I sold the first gooseneck when we bought a...

    Need help/advice with an L2350

I'll measure and calculate today- I think that you have found the culprit. They use the tractor moderately. They have about 13 acres of mountainous pasture that they bush hog. I'd guess that they put 20 or 30 hours a year on the tractor, up to this point. They take any advice that I give them...

    Need help/advice with an L2350

The tires are BKT's- rears are TR-117's, and the fronts are TR-144's. The tread blocks on the front are a 1/4" deeper than the rear ones. I haven't measured rolling circumference, yet.

I'll do that in the morning. The front tread blocks are real tall- more than half way to rice paddy status.

Thank you, Greensville. I plan to monkey with tire pressures to see if I can get the right ratio.
