I recently purchased a BX2816 and find it will do fine for me on a long paved driveway. What I don't like is the small steel skids. Probably the same on the 2822. I found some poly ones that fit either model, and that would eliminate scrapes on my pavement and pavers.

Just so everyone know they do make the wire tie mounts in black and white, and two different sizes. 1x1 inch sq, and 1/2 x 1/2 inch sq. When I wire I use them with the ribbed plastic casing just to give the wire a little more protection.

My ballast box on mine says to add 300 lbs for a BX and 600 for larger tractors.

We had some guys go into a septic tank in Maine a few years ago do do exactly what you recommend. They both died from fumes.

Heck his tank will fill to the top in a week. Blasting away the solids is something he needs to do. If not then he can plan on replacing the entire leach field. I have to clean the outlet to the field every 2 years.

i bought my BX80 used and the brake pedal was almost to the floor of the tractor. I adjusted it with the small turnbuckle on the right hand side under the floorboard. Easy to do. Just turn the turnbuckle a few turns and check it.

Seemed like a simple question to ask about the mirrors, but it does pay to ask questions of others when researching a purchase. Saves a little money here and there, and not waste dollars on crap. Thanks guys.
