Dejavu, same with my L3901, I don't ever take mine out of FWD because it is such a struggle to get it back in,turning the steering wheel from side to side while sitting still usually helps when trying to put it in FWD while pulling on the lever to engage ,really easy to take it out of FWD...

Same with my L3901,has gotten a little better with 102 hrs on it, good advice from others ,just takes a lot of practice a few choice words and laugh a lot a bad day on a tractor is better than a good day at work
