    Plastic, stackable pallets?

Concrete blocks are only a couple bucks apiece and last forever. 3 or 4 is all you need for each implement.

    Plastic, stackable pallets?

I've considered those but never looked into how thick and sturdy they are. I have mine on concrete blocks. Wooden pallets disintegrate and leave nails and staples on the ground.

Rim Guard ballast and rubber valve stems?

Bought my tractor used and discovered the dealer filled the rear tires with a weak solution of antifreeze and water. It's not even strong enough to prevent freezing. I called the selling dealer and the service manager confirmed that was what they filled all the tires with. I can see a dealers...

Rim Guard ballast and rubber valve stems?

In my original post I wasn't aware it was a model that came with a backhoe. His dealer shouldn't have even sold him the rimguard IMO.

Rim Guard ballast and rubber valve stems?

I'm sure it's due to the extra weight of the backhoe. My 4310 manual even says not to have liquid ballast on a cab model if the front end loader is mounted. Go figure?

Rim Guard ballast and rubber valve stems?

I would insist that the dealer verify the valve stems are compatible or replace them at no charge. If they are going to sell and install something they should be responsible for doing it correctly. I don't use rubber valve stems on anything that a metal one will fit in. I have had too many of...

    biggest drawback to hoarding steel

Another caveat is hierarchy. My former supervisor at work decided we needed to move our stock down the hall to another room 20 years ago. We had a 6 tier rack that measured 10x20 and was full of metal. Fortunately most of it was aluminum. After we moved it all somebody above his pay grade...

Wheels for land rake...yes or no?

I have a landscape rake I added wheels to. When I rebuilt the rake I modified the wheel mounts to move them further behind the rake. To be honest I took the wheels off and haven't used them or the rake in a long time. I probably wouldn't buy them again. A landscape rake isn't the tool I would...

    Dang flat face quick connects.

I've seen listings for "connect under pressure" flat face fittings. I don't have any experience with them. I always thought the flat face were supposed to be easier to connect than ag or iso. My tractor and grapple have the ISO poppet type connectors. On the grapple end all I have to do is...

"New" Mower. Tell me How I Got Cheated

My biggest concern would have been the missing serial number.

where to buy cylinder repair kits

https://shop.kubotausa.com/oemparts/cl/kub/6091ae4b87a86614f81c3982/la240-hydraulic-system-parts?lid=6215e6487367254ceca37590 Looks like there is a serial number break on the boom cylinder kits. I assume it is referring to the loader serial number. Part Number 7J612-63400 is listed for...

where to buy cylinder repair kits

Search eBay with the part number and sort the results by price + shipping. I have bought all my NH seals from eBay and they all seem to be the same quality with prices all over the place.

Necessary to Clean Mower Deck After Every Session?

The blades on my Kubota MMM have enough lift they self clean the underside of the deck. I have even mowed wet grass then when I mow it dry it cleans the old wet clog off. Your spindle bearings are most likely sealed whether they have zerks or not. If not they have one seal removed so grease can...

3rd function flat face couplers and grapple

Follow up with what you needed to change the fittings on the Homestead Implements grapple. Might help someone else in the future. For anyone ordering a grapple it's a good idea to figure out what is on the tractor and ask the grapple manufacturer to match it before it ships. It is frustrating...

3rd function flat face couplers and grapple

I haven't seen any NPT connections on my Kubota, John Deere, or New Holland. The JD and NH mostly have ORB to ORFS and the line terminations on my Kubota are JIC flare.

3rd function flat face couplers and grapple

Like I said, you still need to know what the line/hose connection is. They are most likely JIC flare but what size? Other connection options are NPT, ORB, or ORFS so there's that? In other words you may need fittings and adaptors. My MTL grapple arrived with 1/4" hoses that had 1/4" JIC ends...

3rd function flat face couplers and grapple

I guess I did misunderstand the problem. He didn't specify the third function connections were also flat face. Just that they were smaller. He still needs to remove one of the fittings to determine the line connection to get the correct fitting and adaptors.

3rd function flat face couplers and grapple

My point is the flat face is supposed to be easier to connect than the ISO.. Doesn't matter if your connection is more capable than the system . He only needs to change one end or the other and it will work fine with oversized fittings.

3rd function flat face couplers and grapple

If it were mine I would change the tractor to match the fittings on the grapple. I think the 1/2 inch flat face IS the norm for a skid steer due to them changing implements under pressure. Depending on the brand of your third function the hose connecting to the fittings could be anything...
