    Anyone with a B2620/B2920/B3200/B3300SU?

Appreciate the info on the tractors. I think the B20 series tractors and probably the B3200 are now at the top of my list. Good specs, within my budget, and there seems to be a fair number out there. Looks as though the B20s were popular tractors, I see many more than the B2630 or B3030 models...

    Anyone with a B2620/B2920/B3200/B3300SU?

I was planning on a minimum of a box blade/blade, roto-tiller, and either a rotary cutter or flail mower. From my experience, control of the 3 pt isn't critical with the tiller, you just drop the 3 pt and tiller's weight and skid shoes will regulate position/depth of the tiller. If I remember...

    Anyone with a B2620/B2920/B3200/B3300SU?

Trying to move forward on a CUT this summer and used/new market for CUTs seems to be pretty bad, at least here in the Northeast. Was planning on buying used and looking hard at the B2650 or a B2601. What I'm seeing is few used units and pricing close to a new LX2610. My local dealer has both...

    Used B2650 vs. B3030

Thanks for the info so far, I don't think I can go wrong with either the B3030 or B2650. However, based on the numbers of used models out there, definitely more B2650s from what I can see. Based on the numbers, probably will end up with a 2650, but if a good condition 3030 shows up on my radar...

    Used B2650 vs. B3030

I've been getting some good comments on a couple threads regarding my CUT purchase this year. I initially started with B series, small or large frame and then downsized my thinking to possibly even a SCUT (BX or 1025R) since I maybe I could mow as well it. I've since abandoned that thinking and...

Used BX or B Series purchasing advice - questions

Appreciate all of the input and comments - very helpful real world experience. Probably not the forum to say it, but if I go SCUT, it will probably be a JD 1026/1025R. I don't see a great deal of differences in capability between the BX and JD 1 series and the 1026/1025R has position control, so...

Used BX or B Series purchasing advice - questions

Thanks for the reply and info on the 1/4 inching valve - not sure if that will work for me. Probably look for a model with position control. I have seen the difference with the 2 vs 3 range hydros in these size SCUT/CUT tractors. I've read some concerns/complaints about certain 2 range models or...

Used BX or B Series purchasing advice - questions

I am looking to buy a SCUT/CUT this year, most likely used to stay within my budget. I want to stay with either John Deere or Kubota for resale if I find out that I need something bigger or smaller. Based on specs and checking out units on dealer lots, I initially was looking at a smaller frame...

Towing B2601 with 14 ft trailer - SA or TA

Thanks for the feedback - yes I'm leaning toward a 16 ft steel TA like the Big Tex 60PI 6k trailer. 6k rather than 7k drops the trailer weight 300 lbs or so and keeps it at about 1500 lbs. Would give me 3500 lbs capacity with the T4R and the full 4500 lbs if I ever upsize the tow vehicle. That...

Towing B2601 with 14 ft trailer - SA or TA

Thanks for the input Greensville. I agree, I need to keep trailer weight down given the T4R's 5k tow rating. 1000-1500 lbs works ok, but the typical steel TA is 1600-1800 lbs or so. That leaves with the aluminum options or maybe a SA steel trailer. I was initially planning on going aluminum...

Towing B2601 with 14 ft trailer - SA or TA

Thanks for the info- looks like I might need to move up to a 16' aluminum TA. Probably need the extra 2' over the 14' and the upcharge on the aluminum over steel is much less than upgrading the T4R right now.

Towing B2601 with 14 ft trailer - SA or TA

Thanks for the reply B737 - any idea what the total weight of the trailer and tractor were with the 16 ft'r? Not sure if it would keep me under 5K lbs total.

Towing B2601 with 14 ft trailer - SA or TA

First post on the forums - been reading for a while since I starting looking at compact tractors. I narrowed things down to likely a B2601 or even possibly the B2401. Problem is I don't plan to purchase until later this summer or fall but my current steel 18 yr old 5x8 trailer is almost no...
