    FEL and Float

Finally got to check to see if I had float, and yes indeed I do. Always wondered why the up/down stick would sometimes stick in the down position, now I know. Value on the "Beast" just went up.

    L175 Front Tire Help

Because of the loader, I may go with these. Called them and with a phone order I can get them for $44 a pair because they don't have to pay eBay fee. Any thoughts...

    L175 Front Tire Help

Need to replace the 4x12 fronts on my 2wd L175. Has a loader. Just wondering if someone could point me to something better than the dry rotted ones I have on there now.

    FEL and Float

Thanks, good explanation! I'll start playing with it Thursday.

    FEL and Float

No, pushing the lever all the way forward lowers the bucket to the ground. Then, if I pull the lever back slightly that's when the front and will come up off the ground.

    FEL and Float

I'm afraid I'm not following what you're trying to tell me. The levers are up-and-down. When released, both levers will go back to the neutral position by themselves.

    FEL and Float

Since I'm not near my L175 I can't play with it, so maybe someone can enlighten me. Heard a lot about "float" on a loader. Just wondering if that's what I have on my setup. What I've noticed is that when the down lever is pushed all the way down, of course the bucket goes down, and that's it. If...

    What Is It?

On the right front side of my L175 block just above the oil pan there is a plug. There is a slight oil drip that I'd like to fix. Here is the Kubota number 15221-33752. Started to unscrew it, but oil started to come out. Question is, what is the purpose of this plug? Did it have something to do...

    L1 75 loader problem

Yes, the second one went faster and turned out better because I already had my cardboard templates cut out and did not have to put a dog leg in this one to clear the steering arm. Got it all back together, painted, put the ballast box around, went and grabbed a full bucket of caliche from my...

    L1 75 loader problem

Want to give thanks for finding my big mistake. Changed the design, moved the bracket back to where it is now located and I think were out of the woods. Now to do the other side.

    L1 75 loader problem

Holy crap I never gave that a thought, used to dealing with my big Ford. Back to the drawing board. Anyone have any ideas? Glad I didn't try to move it. First thought is to remove that portion of it, put the other side on, then tie the two together right under the third member pushing up on it.

    L1 75 loader problem

Got one side finished today, will finish the other one tomorrow. Got lucky, my little local steel supplier had one 12 foot length of three eights inch by 4 inch flat bar left just enough to finish both sides. Cut a notch out near the rear of the bar going to the rear, cut a pipe in half, welded...

    L1 75 loader problem

From the looks of this setup it appears that this is what I need to do. Getting support as high up on the "towers" is what's needed. Think I'll be using some 1/4"x4" scrap I have, or 3/8"x4" which is what I can get in town. It doesn't take much movement up there to make the front take a nose...

    L1 75 loader problem

Probably my next step. Trying to keep access to the seat open as much as possible. Wonder what the thickness of the metal used is. Still wonder why after all this time it decided to give out. Sometime in it's past it happened before. One bolt on the top of the housing had been broken for years...

    L1 75 loader problem

A while back well using the loader, I saw the hood moving on the cowl. Looked down and the front axle housing was separating from the engine block. It pulled the threads out of the block. Got the threads restored to 7/16 20, reassembled the whole thing, and it looked like the top tube that runs...

Replace 30 yr old Bush Hog or keep draggin?

Got an old squealer on my F*** that I use to "resize" rocks with on my property. Not much of an angle on the blades and it just keeps going. Housing starts to crack, put some 16gauge over it and weld away. Also have a set of chains to keep it at a constant level so I don't worry about bleed down.

    HydrauLink?

Installed a hydraulic top link on my 640 F***. Don't know how managed before it. Mine is the positioning type, doesn't float, check valves on both ends. It really comes in handy when using a box blade, scraper, boom or shredder. Come to think of it's really handy on any attachment I use. I...

    Throwout Bearing Question

I know there is a grease fitting on the sliding shaft of my L175. When greased, does it just grease the spline, or is the throwout bearing open on one side so it can get greased?
