    Hydraulic top link for MX6000

Are these a universal fit (if you know)? I didn't see installation instructions on the site.

    Hydraulic top link for MX6000

I got one without a check valve for my MX6000 and it floats way too much, especially when the SAYA 507 is on. Mistake for me there. Probably replace it over winter/before spring planting. As far as travel. I measured my implements when on and used the min/max for them as a guide as to which unit...

Hydraulic Requirements for Sabre Samurai mower

I find this interesting. Happy to read any updates from all. I have over a mile of trails I've been using a Stihl hedge trimmer to keep open by hand. It can be very time consuming. Would this work with an MX6000 with OEM 3rd function remote without any further mods other then reinforcing the...

    MX 6000 50 hour service

Thanks both. I'm doing the hydraulic fluid/filters today. Is the SUDT2/80-90W a "controversy" or does it seem to matter? Manual says either I think. In any event, I don't have enough SUDT2 to do the front case today and will have to buy whatever ends up seeming "best". I won't be putting many...

    MX 6000 50 hour service

I started the 50 hour service on my MX 6000 today. Engine oil wasn't real dark but didn't look new either. Going to dissect the old oil filter tomorrow to check for any metal shavings. Didn't use any oil at all from dipstick checks. Decided to change out all the hydraulic fluid instead of just...

    MX5400 or MX6000?

I had an L4300 for 20 years from new and mainly used the dash throttle rather than the small foot pedal since it was gear drive MT. I'm still searching for a technique that doesn't feel awkward on the MX as I find the "cruise control" not as accurate as the throttle control on the L for...

Oh yeah, still don't like the pedal.

    MX5400 or MX6000?

Bringing this thread back from the depths for a "final" update. The SAYA finally arrived last month but the dealer was busy and I didn't need it until around now for fall food plots. Then we agreed to wait until the R14s arrived. I finally got both delivered a week or so ago. In the interim, we...

    MX5400 or MX6000?

Well, this started last year when I agreed to buy an incoming (December/January) SAYA no till drill. That got me thinking I could use a little more power than my 4300. So, I traded the 4300 for the MX6000 in March, expecting the SAYA "any day - it's on a truck".... Still waiting for R14s (has...

    Toolbox ideas for L4060HST-C

I did similar to above for my MX. Had an old Stanley tool box lying around and drilled out holes in the bottom to match where the OEM box was. Added a couple washers and reused the OEM bolts. Lots more storage and literally free.

    L4701 vs MX6000 or similar

I just went from 20 years of owning an L4300 (47/37.5 HP) to an MX6000. I've only put about 2 hours on it brush hogging but the improvement has been noticeable to me. More powerful and "solid" feeling. Wide stance helps stability as well. Overall very happy with the move. The only thing I don't...

    MX5400 or MX6000?

Thanks! I'm a few weeks from any real use. My ground is still sopping wet. I'm going to start by going through the manual. Then try some bush hogging to open up more food plot land. Then hope the drill comes in in time to do some summer plots. Now I have to save up for a grapple and some...

    MX5400 or MX6000?

Well, the MX 6000 was finally delivered today. It was shipped with R4s in January (I had ordered R1s). I tried to switch to R14s but none available in the correct size "until fall". It took until 2 days ago for the R1s to come in. Ended up with 3rd function valve (no grapple yet), 1 set of rear...

R14s - Closer to R1s or R4s in the field?

I can pretty much avoid muddy conditions since this is all "fun" work for me. No sandy soil; it's mostly nice (but a little rocky in spots) loam. The dealer is going to put R14s on, so we'll see how it goes. Says they should be easier/faster to get than R1s (?), so it might be ready for...

R14s - Closer to R1s or R4s in the field?

My salesman is also an actual farmer since childhood. He isn't a big fan of the R14s but did make the point about the stiffer sidewalls and wider tread/more stability but shallower lugs. He isn't pushing one over the other; most of the advice I have gathered here and elsewhere puts the R14s at...

R14s - Closer to R1s or R4s in the field?

Lots of multiflora rose. The property is hilly, so there are areas I just don't take the tractor on. I mow with a Ventrac and plow with a Ranger. There are some times when I need to use the FEL around the house; otherwise I would probably stick with the R1s. BUT, it would be really nice to not...

Thanks for the reports. Anyone else, positive or negative?

R14s - Closer to R1s or R4s in the field?

The tractor was ordered with R1s on the contract. Kubota shipped it with R4s. The dealer is offering me the choice of R14s or R1s (as ordered) as I have already declined the R4s based on past experience. Either choice will have to be ordered, but they are still waiting for the rear hydraulics...

R14s - Closer to R1s or R4s in the field?

As in title. My MX6000 was shipped with R4s (which I do not want, having had them on a prior Grand L - R1s are on the order sheet); the dealer is offering either R1s or R14s. I rarely take the tractors onto lawn areas, but when I do the L4300 with R1s makes pretty impressive ruts. I need to...
