    Remote Oil Filter

BruceP has a good idea since those computer fans are cheap and quiet. However (and its been awhile) we used the electric fan from an old Subaru radiator to cool off a generator in a similar situation. Reason why we used the auto fan was they can be found for free in a junk yard and for some...

Kubota workshop manual and 50 hour service coming up.

Congrats on the 50 hour. My magnet actually had a little more shavings than yours. Guess that's what its there for. Did you have any non-magnetic silver colored stuff come out of the left side filter?

    Fuel cut off

Anybody know if I have an engine stop solenoid that is accessible on my L4701? Just curious.

    L2501 fuel filter change

At the cabin we would use diesel in the kerosene lamps if we were out of kerosene. The diesel smoked more and left a little more oil on your fingers (slippery) compared to the kerosene. Also the diesel was a little harder to light when it was really cold. I guess it would make a slightly...

Found some weird stripped bolts sitting on my new LX-2610

If you get bored, pull one of the bolts out and inspect the hole. You may be able to see the helicoil. Or you might see that the new bolts have enough length and bite to be safe.

Found some weird stripped bolts sitting on my new LX-2610

Glad you are happy with it. Sounds like it was a pain in the rear but is now safe and secure. I learned a lot from following this thread.

    Drive it or trailer it?

Ditto. We have never had a problem while using a chase vehicle and Walkie-Talkies. Our MO when a vehicle approaches from the rear is to pull over more, and slow way down. If the chase vehicle feels its safe they will wave the approaching vehicle around us. However, more and more we are having...

What Weights Needed To Pull Plough

Others will have to chime in but I don't need any front weight on my L4701 in 2wd pulling a five foot disk.

Kubota workshop manual and 50 hour service coming up.

I don't know anything about your MX6000 but I am surprised that the dealer doesn't change the trans filters since it seems very important. This was my experience doing it on my L4701...

Right. Loafers are for motorcycle riding. Flip Flops are for tractor work

    Optimum Rpm.

My 2003 Dodge CTD has a sweet spot of 2000 RPM in 5th or 6th pulling a load all day long. My Kubota seems to like 2000 RPM while disking so I run it there, when box blading and even for FEL work (except for delicate work). Of coarse 2600 for PTO work. However, the Kubota only has 60 hours...

    Ads

Dang. Busted. I was looking for a new walker for my Mom and bought one. Now on google I am flooded with ads for walkers and potty chairs. How many potty chairs does a person need:rolleyes: Oh well, if looking at the occasional scantily clad lady is the price I have to pay than I guess I can...

    Ads

I really cant complain about advertising especially since this is a great online forum and I am currently not paying anything but should since some of the advice I have gotten here has saved me some bucks. Why though do I keep getting advertisements for Bikinis, Swimsuits, tongs (or thongs?) and...

    Buzzards=STIHL HT 131

Always loved my Stihl chainsaws. I still am irritated at myself for not spending the extra bucks on a Stihl pole saw. Saved $200 bucks by getting a (wont start a brand war) and have regretted it ever since. Every time I have to rip the carb apart or the chain jumps or something else goes...

    PUTER GEEKS

Gets frustrating sometimes. My 90 yo mother try's to roll with the punches but every update it seems like they change something. Recently they changed the tool bar on word and really messed her up for awhile. I bought her that copy in 2017 just so she wouldn't have to deal with changes but...

That's pretty wild. Kind of surprised the dipstick hadn't wiggled out in the past or that there isn't more gasket seepage.
