I also rely on seeing a neighbor's lights back on to figure out the power is back on. Or, I have to check to see if the power company's meter is back on. Either way, I wish there was an easier way to determine that the power is back on.

Dang, I was looking for CV Joint replacement boots for you. If you have the end sizes someone should be able to fix you up pretty cheap with something like this. For $7bucks it might work for your application since its not going to be spinning around at 4000 rpms...

Last time I was having a really rough ride, my son (who was visiting and doesn't know a thing about tractors) asked me if maybe slowing down a little might help smooth things out. He was right. I would not have been taking the 2N over the same area nearly as fast as I was going in the L4701.

I'm 66 and a few years ago we finally used the last of my Dads 30W non-detergent Castrol oil changing out the 2N. It was in metal cans and he had gotten cases of it from the Travis BX a long time ago. Never occurred to me that the cans might be collectable.

On auto engines I just use a small coating of auto oil unless they went through a water jacket, than I used anti-seize on the threads. However, if possible check the SM if you have one or check with the dealer who sold you the bolts and stuff. Let us know what you find out.
