Pretty excited that my Homestead Implements rake showed up today. It was about 4 days ahead of their estimated ship date. I unwrapped it and hooked it up. The rake is shipped spun around backward to make it more compact for shipping. When I spun it around for use while going forward, there are no angle holes that line up. The photo on their website show (what look like) additional holes that I do not have.

Happy April Fools Day🥶…that’s a kick in the sack for sure. Please report back their customer service and responsiveness. Thanks you in advance. I’ve looked at their stuff but never bought from them. This will be a great data point for us at your expense😉…no April fooling on that either. Keep us posted and good luck. 🥃

There are many used landscape rakes on Facebook Marketplace that make the savings worthwhile to buy used. I picked up a LandPride LR1160 with the optional wheel set for $800. The seller was asking $905 and I offered $800 and he accepted the offer.

My wife also said April Fools! Then she quickly handed me a beer before I popped a blood vessel 😂
To be clear for everyone- I'm not posting this to bash Homestead. I honestly think there may be something I'm not seeing. I don't want to look like an ass when I the say "you gotta blah blah first".

I have no experience with that product, but the pics say a lot IMO. The advertised pics clearly have another set of holes. Only other thing I would recommend if trouble hitting the hole is as my pop would say ‘put some hair around it’. Yes I am going to hell for that, but that’s funny 😉and I miss my dad.

That's what I am seeing. It appears the holes that are visible are for mounting it in the opposite direction.

It looks like the second set of holes are the ones for the pin to drop into. The ones that are in line with the N in implements.

Those were the old days. Today they remove all the hair. The Department of Natural Resources has renamed them the "Bald Beavers". :giggle: I will join you in hell!

Man, that’s upsetting. I’m thinking it would be much cheaper for them to send you another complete proper rake, and also best for customer relation. And further, it wouldn’t be worth their expense to to pay the return shipping on the useless one! 😀😀

While it would suck, they could send just the frame. Swapping over every single tine and the wheel kit would be cumbersome at best.
I'm sure it'll all work out OK. I just fear that it will be another 6-8 weeks. Which postpones the intended project for 5+ months.

To me it looks like they sent you the rake for offset model (does have a second set of alignment pin holes) and frame for the non offset rake.

I know that it is not what you want or should have to do, but why not simply drill the holes required your self and be done with it?
Sure would save a lot of time and hassle.

There isn't another hole for the bolt that it pivots on is there?
