How much gear oil to put in gear box of Kubota L2195 Front snowblower

I have drained the gear box oil in preparation for getting my snowblower I purchased last year ready for this winter but I cannot find anywhere in the manual how much new oil to replace what was in there. I don't want to assume that my first use did not consume some. This is not located anywhere...

    Boom sickle mower for Kubota

Thanks! The issue I have with this one (and similar models) is that I need the reach of the boom in some situations. This approach requires the shrub or tree to be close to your bucket. I think it's a good idea but it doesn't fit my need. -Weekender

To 4WD or Not To 4WD

As noted above, there is no need not to if you need it. If the job requires alot of sharp turns than that could require you to jump in and out if 4WD and would be a real pain. As a general rule of thumb, I use 2WD when traveling long distances or if the job can get by without it simply because I...

    Boom sickle mower for Kubota

I've seen a couple advertised at various dealers online for around 12K. To me that's acceptable if it is going to last. My property is more like a golf course or park so being able to trim high branches and, of course this long stretch of hedge, would be something I would do frequently.

    Boom sickle mower for Kubota

I agree, Dan. The PT5 looks sturdier and better built than the Bestco version and probably could handle more as well. This is probably why it is more expensive. As my grandfather used to say, you get what you pay for. I will purchasing the PT5 come spring. Hopefully, I won't have to wait 6...

Where do I check/add gear oil to my L2195A Snowblower?

This is definitely a stupid question concerning my new L2195 snowblower but I blame a terrible user manual for this implement. The manual calls for maintaining the gear oil in the gear box and reduction box but does not provide ANY information as to where to check the gear box oil nor where to...

    Snowblower l2195a rotation issues

One last comment on your post, I think using a lock nut on the bolts holding the anchor plates should allow you the play you need while avoiding the nuts becoming loose over time. -Weekender

That's all fine and good but when the hedge is over 6 ft tall and wider still, and runs about 100 yds, there are easier and faster ways of tackling that problem using existing implements for what would seem to me a minimal investment. Work smarter not harder! Good luck out there!

    Snowblower l2195a rotation issues

I used my L2195A on my L6060 for the first time last week and had exactly the same issue with the right rotation of the chute. I could get it to rotate to the right by turning it manually but it would not turn to the right otherwise. Turning to the left was just fine using the hydraulic lever in...
