BX 25 Tire Ballast

Just got the back tires tubed and loaded with something called Bio Ballast. Can't believe the difference! This Bio Ballast is supposed to be non corrosive. Each tire took about 10 gal. and added about 85 #s per tire.

good stuff, have it in mine also - never NOT had it, so i cannot tell what is was like not having it!
make sure if you add air or want to check the air pressure, do it at 12 o'clock!

Saw an odd factoid on the MSDS for this stuff:

Material can be corrosive to some metals; care should be taken when stored for long periods in metal containers.

Hmmmm….

That MSDS warning would be for Calcium Chloride ballast! The Bio Ballast is Beet Pulp Juice or brand name of "Rim Guard". Safe for the ground if it leaks and safer for the rims. Beet Pulp (sugar) No where near as corrosive as Calcium Chloride (salt) in your rims.
