B1550 help.

Hello to you all, i have just joined and need some help.

I have just bought a Kubota B1550 which looks great. But it has one small problem, namely the engine block is terminally cracked.
I did know this at least before buying.
What i need to know is what model of engine to look for to source a 2nd hand unit to swap with mine. I am in the UK. Hopefully the engine is used in other models and or applications???

Should be a D950

Come in many other applications also.

Not sure now, seems to me that it should be a D850 ??

Do You mean that either D850 or D950 engine will fit my b1550 tractor ?

The D750, D850, D950 are all the same bolt pattern and will interchange, but just use a D950 to replace and you'll be better off!

There should be a name plate on your tractor which should put you at ease as to what engine installed. Look on left side of tractor at your left foot as you sit on the seat.

If your "Glasgow" is in Scotland I bought a similar tractor of "Kubotajohn" in Alexandria which is near you. He may know of a suitable engine. If this is of intrest I can give you contact details.

If you can post some pictures of your motor, I might be able to tell you how much work it will be to put it in.
That looks like the same setup type as my motor that I put into my B7100.
