Where do I get a skid plate kit for my B2650? In Canada if possible.

A 2" diameter dry stick must have flipped up under there while I was backing up this afternoon in some light bush and tore off the connector cap for the rpm sensor. 0 RPM shows now on the tach with engine running, and no, it's not set to pto mode.

$95 plus taxes for a new sensor part. Nothing left to solder the wires back to, broken clean at one connection at least.

The tractor runs fine, now just have to "ear-ball" a working rpm which I usually do anyway when not running the backhoe or chipper. At least until the new part comes!

But skid plates? The next wayward bush stick may not find "just" a $100 non-essential part to mash up. Then skid plate costs become good insurance!

A plate system that covered axle to axle and from FEL sub-frame rail to rail would be perfect.

Recommendations plz, TIA!

Skid plates protect the underneath of the tractor between the frame rails. From your picture, it looks like that is outboard of the frame rails, so a skid plate wouldn't help with that in the future. I see some blank holes in the frame, so possibly you could fabricate some type of shield to protect that part. You don't need to make it out of heavy steel, and if you really want to go inexpensively, head down to your local body shop, and ask them if they would cut a piece out of a scrap hood for you. They might even give you the complete hood for free, and then you will have more than enough sheet metal to make all kinds of guards for your tractor.

Bxexpanded, I got one from them and it was really easy to install and it is very easy to remove and reinstall when you need to take it off.

OP has a B series tractor and I believe that BXPANDED only makes skid plates for the BX series.

Any local 'fab shop' can make them. I make wooden templates using masonite, 1/4" ply,1by2,etc. whatever to get the right dimensions and holes in the right places.....then give to neighbour to make in his shop.
If you've got a perfect template, the shop can make it easy. One tip : Be sure to spec a '1/2" clearance hole, NOT a 1/2" hole for a 1/2" bolt.

The stick would have been stopped by a skid plate. I know that. It came up from beneath the engine between the frame rails and snuck between the rail and the engine. The stick was still jammed against the engine between the fuel filter and block and hanging practically to the ground when I took a look.

Thanks for that, I'll check them out. They're in NL so no border/currency stuff.
