Chain the front?

I would rarely need chains with what I do with the 4wd B2650. I was just messing around and found that my Honda Foreman chains fit the front of my tractor. These are a good quality set of truck chains with cleats and tighteners that I cut down to fit the ATV. Any reason not to use them for both machines? Reason I ask is that I have never chained the front wheels of anything so did not know if there was a taboo or things to watch out for.
I may also make a set of rear chains, I have a lot of chain laying around and it could be a neat project to dink around with.
By the way I have R4 industrial tires if that makes any difference.

I don't see where chains on the front would hurt anything. Chains go on drive wheels and you have 4WD so the front wheels drive as well as the rear. I purchased a set of chains for my rear tires for use in the winter on my 1000' gravel drive with a steep hill to the house. I plow with my Kubota since I got rid of my GMC Sierra Diesel. I hate putting on the chains, the ride, and taking them off and putting them away, but they do work GREAT.

Looks like you have turf tires so the chains probably work pretty good. Where did you get them and what did they cost? I want to try and make some just to say I did it but it never hurts to know where to get things.

Chains on the front help with steering. I put them on my B2650 with front mounted snowblower.

For snow or ice chains are the ticket. If conditions are really bad all wheels can be chained but I usually just chain the primary drive wheels. Rear wheel or front wheel depending on the rig. I haven't needed chains on my Kubota yet - no snow blowing here. My FJ40 had symmetric Sizes so I usually chained the rear but there were a few spring trips where I ran into snow and chains on the front pulled me through the snow pack. Now our ski rig is a Honda CRV and it is great until things get really icy - then I put cable chains on the front and it has pulled through the worst Colorado blizzards - 3 feet at Wolf Creek Christmas 2015. No downside to traction!;)

Sorry it took so long to get back to you, been busy and OTT does not contact you to let you know someone has responded to your comment like TBN does.
I bought them from Tirechainsrequired.com My friend in Maine needed a set for his plow truck and found they had what he needed and at a reasonable price. They have a nice selection with all types of chains for trucks, cars, tractors and just about anything you can think of.
