Does the humming change "pitch" when going uphill?
Is it worse in high gear? or better in low?
Is it worse or better as engine speed is increased?
Checked fluid level?

Level is good.... it's not the hst whine I'm hearing, more of a hum I hear with tractor still and Rpm above 1500. I got off tractor to listen where it was coming from and it seems to be in hst area! Could it just be the hydraulic pump?

Most likely, they are noisy little critters, when you do your first fluid change out change to SUDT2 its not cheap but at least on mine the noise has gone way down,,
