I have a strange problem with my Kubota. When I push it really hard, it loses all driving and PTO power. I can put it into any gear, release the clutch, but it just won't drive and the PTO does not spin. When I wait a few hours, it will drive again and everything seems normal.

Where should I look to fix this problem. Any tips or tricks?

Thx!
Anton

First guess would be a worn clutch, yet you are able to place it in gears w/o grinding. Something broken in the drivetrain would not "fix" itself as it cools down.

Adjust linkage in clutch, and see if any of that makes a difference.

You need to split it and replace the clutch disk, pressure plate, throw-out bearing and Pilot bushing.

Antoin: Assuming the guys are right about a clutch, here is a question. When you use this machine where is your left foot? The term "riding the clutch" might apply to you then. Also when shifting gears are you letting the clutch out so slowly that there is wear occurring? What tractor RPM when using the clutch? High RPM then can also can be a fault. With careful use of the clutch most tractors, cars and truck don't need any new clutch for a very long time. Operator habits can ruin it in a short time.
