    Getting worried about my purchase.

I've got just over 400 hours in 4 years on my BX25. (Finally paid off this past February) I've done all required maintenance & have not had a single problem. Knock on wood! Wow, time really flies when you get older. I did once have a flat front tire, but it had a long thorn in it. I pulled it...

    Age poll

I'll be 68 this coming Sunday. I just bought a new crossbow 4 days ago because I can no longer draw my old 68Lb draw compound. (shoulder probs.) I can still drive the tractor & do more work faster with it at 68 than I could ever do while younger and tractorless. Life is good! Paul

    What service would you do?

Since it's at least 7 years old I personally would do the full monte. All fluids all filters, air pressure in tires, full grease & you are good to go!

Skeets, you're not alone. We put up over 120 jars of various tomato products like sauce, juice, whole tomatoes & salsa. Also we did pickles of assorted types, froze sweet corn, blueberries, pie cherries, & more tomatoes. We also dehydrated onions, corn, carrots, green & yellow beans & squash...

    Restriction on tiller width ??

I use a 48" tiller on my BX25 without any problems. I think the 450 is a perfect fit.

Led lights - spot or flood pattern

I use floods. When I'm plowing snow, I'm looking right in front of the tractor. There is no need to see 150' out in the distance. Floods still give you a pretty good size viewing area not only out front but off to the sides also. Paul

Help me - broken PTO shaft

Be aware that the new PTO shaft may have to be cut to fit properly. Here is the address of a video that shows how to do that. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0vBFJcvs5SE

    ROPS and trees--a cautionary tale

Yes, I have spun my BX25 1/4 way around one of those leaning trees once because it caught part of the ROPS. I have since sprayed roundup around the base of 47 trees of various sizes giving me a clear area far enough away so that it won't happen again when I mow. All large branches low enough to...

Hello Everyone, iam a new to this information Rich site.

It's really easy to take the whole thing off/on once you know the procedure. Should take around 5 minutes. The secret to easy on/off is to take it off on a perfectly level spot. That way everything lines up easily.

Tapping Noise When PTO is Engaged

Check to make sure that the PTO shaft is centered and doesn't have a lot of play swinging side to side. I had that problem and found that the PTO shaft coupler where it goes into the tractor would nick the stabilizer. It was especially noticeable when I raised my tiller and made a turn.

    Kubota Lubricants

You don't "need" to use Kubota lubricants or filters if you can find compatible. Filter prices from Kubota are pretty competitive with other high quality filters. SUDT2 is a little pricey. However, would you want to use a HST fluid that is suitable for a tractor made in the 70's or 80's because...

Looking for Advice from BX Owners on Ground Clearance

If you get the BX you will immediately want to get a skid plate to protect the HST cooling fan. Bro-Tek or BXpanded both have them available for the BX2670. The B series doesn't have this vulnerability. Since you won't have a belly mower, the one from BXpanded may suit you more.

What mower for a BX25 to cut 20 acres?

20 acres is going to take a while no matter what you use. I've got a 60" belly mower on mine and sometimes mowing just seems too slow. If I put it in high gear while mowing it seems to strain a little going up slight grades. I always go back to low gear pretty quickly. If you put a 72" 3 point...

First Oil Change - Now or Later?

Wait until around 50 hours. Guess what else. ;) Most diesel oils will look black to varying degrees after 22 hours. It's meant to do that. If you changed that oil now, your new oil will likely look black after 22 hours too.

snow squeegee for my back blade

Sorry for the delay in answering. I had a small medical issue to deal with. I used the stuff that you can buy at TSC off of a roll by the foot. The stall mats were my first consideration but they were all of the waffled type texture at my TSC. I wanted solid. Thick used conveyer belts would be...

    Trading Tillers

Why in heavens name would you want to trade down from a 56" tiller that works. If it only bogs down when at full depth then just go a little slower or into a lower gear. Wear & tear on your tractor is probably not an issue if you are only tilling an acre. 38" is getting into garden tractor...

snow squeegee for my back blade

Billdog, I tried those mats from TSC, they didn't last a season on the snow plow. I even tripled them up to get more stiffness out of them. They look like they are made from ground up rubber particles. It would have been nice if they worked, but----no go.

snow squeegee for my back blade

Crap! I wish I would have thought of that. I looked for an old non-steel belted car tire for a while and couldn't find one. I ended up spending way too much time cutting through a steel belted radial tire to get a 5' section of tread to use. It's holding up well and shows little wear after 2...
