Canopy. Are they good to have or not?

I wouldn't mind the shade, and protection from rain. I also plow my property with my MX5800, and I get tired of the roll bar knocking the snow off branches, which then goes right down my neck. That said, it's $525 and I want to make sure it's worth it. Do they work pretty well? Does it reflect...

AG front tires already overloaded before lifting something?

I have AG tires front and rear on my MX5800. I have lifted some heavy loads, up to about the capacity of the front loader, which is about 3,000 lbs I believe. Never had a problem. The tires might bulge a bit, but I haven't had problems. Now I notice the side walls say each tire has a max...

Pack rats built a nest, now my parking brake light is stuck on

It's been a couple weeks since I've used my tractor. Barn is getting built next year, so until then it's got a canvas waterproof tarp over it. I was pretty puzzled when I removed the tarp today, and found all these branches and leaves that some sort of animal had put all over the deck. I...

Need a new front wheel. What are my options?

I got a flat a while back and when I replaced my wheel, I was stupid and ended up putting the lugnuts on backwards. They have this tapered end that's supposed to go towards the wheel, but I installed them all with the taper facing out. Well... I plowed with the tractor (MX 5800) a lot over the...

MX 5800 lugnut bolts loose and wallowed out wheels

I used my tractor a lot for plowing this past winter, and apparently I didn't notice the front right wheel that gets a lot of snow packet in it and rides right next to the right edge of the road with drifts had lugnuts that came loose. I had a couple lugnuts come completely off, and the rest...

    Adjusting angle of 3 point

I have an MX with a Cat 2 3 point. With my grader scraper on, I can easily adjust the right link so that it is longer than the left side, and therefore raises the left side of the implement up and allows me to create a crown in the road. I tried this same thing with a rear blade, and I can't...

Is diesel pickup truck synthetic oil proper for our tractors?

I have an MX5800. When I did the 50 hour service myself, I just bought Kubota oil from the dealer. I'm at 200 now, and would like to use synthetic oil, but I'm wondering if I can use Mobil 1 full synthetic for diesel pickup trucks? Is it still the correct type of oil? Also, I like to use Lucas...

Are all Kubota keys are the same?

Are all Kubota keys the same? I have an MX5800. My buddy in another state has an MX5200. He had heard all Kubota keys are the same. I thought it sounded far fetched, so we exchanged pictures of our keys. Sure enough, same exact number and same tooth pattern. Doesn't sit very well with me that...

    Anybody else run synthetic grease?

I do, and I like it. Supposedly it lasts 4X longer than the regular stuff. So does that really mean I can go 200 hours, since you're supposed to grease every 50 hours with regular grease, or is that pushing it? How long do you go with full synthetic grease?

    Seat sensor driving me nuts

New MX5800. Half the time when I stand up from the seat to exit the tractor while running and brake on, the engine wants to shut off because it thinks the accelerator is being pressed. I have to quickly sit back down and jiggle the HST pedal and try it again and it'll usually let me "pass". Is...

New MX5800 fuel gauge stuck on full

Not sure if there is an introduction area, but I've had my kubota for a few months, and love it. After a week of owning it the fuel gauge became stuck on full. Any idea how to fix it? It's too much fuss to take it to the dealer for this, so I'd prefer to do it myself.
