Adjusting angle of 3 point

I have an MX with a Cat 2 3 point. With my grader scraper on, I can easily adjust the right link so that it is longer than the left side, and therefore raises the left side of the implement up and allows me to create a crown in the road.

I tried this same thing with a rear blade, and I can't get it to spin in that direction. I can shorten it, but I can't lengthen it. I noticed I have to put the implement all the way on the ground, and then I can shorten the link. But if I raise the implement up so I can lengthen it, I can't get it to spin so I can lengthen it.

Any tips or tricks? Would it help to put a block under the left side of the implement while I try turning the arm of the 3 point?

Just guessing - - but I think your heading in the right direction....easing the pressures with some blocking so that you can adjust the right lift link.
