Bad clutch is bad for resale. I bought a L295 from a dealer last year for $1500 because it had a bad clutch. Tractor was a little rough, but had a working loader. If this was mine, I'd fix the clutch and keep on using it for another 2000 hours.

There are more than eight fasteners securing the bell housing to the engine. The ones at the top of the bell housing are hard to find and access because they are beneath the fuel tank. Check that you removed those. It should come apart easily when all the fasteners are removed.

You might also check www.allpartsstore.com for the clutch parts. I bought a clutch pressure plate and disk for my L295 and brakes for a L225, and quality was equivalent to OEM. Best part - they were at my door the day after I entered my order online.

Anybody know a good way to clear a clogged hydraulic vent elbow on the L295? Looks like bugs or mud wasps clogged it. Tried using a wire and vacuum cleaner, but can't get past the bend in the elbow. Is the vent pipe threaded into the hydrailic cylinder, such that I could remove it for cleaning?
