Has anyone installed bung plugs in the fuel tanks on a L6060 to drain or decontaminate the tanks without having to pull them every time? We removed the tanks about 14 months ago and cleaned them, replaced pickup assembly, etc.. Now experiencing stalling issues again, found contaminants in water separator. Pulling the tanks is a very labor intensive chore.
The plan is two fold, pull the tanks again, install bung plugs in the bottom of each, and install a screen type filter on the pickup tube to prohibit diesel scum and other trash from being picked up and clogging fuel lines...
Any thoughts or insight you may have are welcome.
