Picked up a used zg227.... Can't figure out this problem for the life of me.... Starts right up, engage throttle to max no problem, engage PTO no problem...now the problem begins... If I push the lapbars all the way forward for max speed, it bogs down engine, when I pull back to lower speed, engine kicks back on....I can ride it at around 85-90% speed no problem at all times but as soon as I push for max speed the engine wants to cut out....after some trial and error, it's the right lapbar causing the issue as I can push the left side all the way forward with no issue...any ideas??

hard to say without hearing the engine run.

I have seen fouled spark plugs do that sometimes

On the bigger ones, sticking brakes. Never on a 222/227 though.

Try pulling one spark plug wire off, then start the engine and see how it acts. No change? You have a cylinder not firing. Doesn't start? You have a cylinder not firing.

Pulling one spark plug wire off still allowed me to start, but there was a noticeable difference in performance, seemed like rpms were lower as well as speed, I do believe I'm firing on both cylinders. I'm at a loss.
