Now the mower is off and fixed, and hanging up and serviced. Should I put it back on, or just leave it off and put the snow plow on and not worry about the leaves?

That depends how many leaves you have, and if you want to do the work involved in putting the deck on and then off again. Myself, Id put it on then mulch the leaves.

I'm not sure. My grandkids rake the leaves to jump in them. I guess I'll have to come up with a solution when they get older.

Put it back ON.

That way, you can curse when you must remove it again to install the snow blower and never needed it.

EVEN BETTER… Install the Snow blower…. THEN remove THAT…to install the mower for one last “go at it”… THEN RE-Install the snow-blower at least a month before you need it.

While you’re at it…. remove and park the FEL for no reason at all also, Make certain to park it where it will be MOST in the WAY… so you’ll need to install it again to get it out of the way. (Behind your wife’s car is a good place…. so she can borrow your truck at the last minute for church….. then you can wonder why the new “ding” is on the side of the door next Sunday afternoon when she returns…. and you find she’s moved all YOUR stuff from the rt seat to the back floorboards and jumbled them all up.

Yeah… THAT’s the Ticket!

NO

My above answer also answers your second redundant question.

I think Geo may be on to something…I am not sure that is what he meant…but what if?…have you tried handling the leaves using the snow blower?! 😂(Although I am not sure it’s got the speed to actually blow them). Still fun to think about.

Just get another tractor, save on all the swapping around headaches! 😁
That's why I bought my BX, I got tired of swapping the mower deck, cab, weights, blower and chains on and off my JD430. The JD is on permanent snow blower duty, the BX is for mowing and other chores.

Hire a local kid to come clean up the leaves. ;)

Around here the wind blows them away ... I need to hope I'm home when most of the few trees I have drop there leaves so I can collect them for my compost pile! 😁

According to his signature, Skeets already has 2 late model 20-25hp tractors. 🤔

No law I'm aware of that limits a household to only two tractors ... 😂

I guess technically my Z-turn is not a "tractor" but ... It means I don't "need" a mower deck for one of the other two tractors I have, it does have a higher sales price than a BX though!

The common law in my sovereign territory is that tractors are handled same as EDC…a pair and a spare (as a start point 😉)
