My original post is merely asking for feedback on what others here prefer (T4/T5/T6) - it's not about the cost.

50 to 60 hours annually
If cost isn't a concern I don't know why someone would choose conventional oil over synthetic. How are those 50 to 60 hours accumulated? There's a big difference on engine wear and oil condition for a tractor that's run for 8 hours a day for a week compared to one that's run for 10 minutes every day for a year.

Andreas You have been using T4 in your other tractor I would use it in the Kubota. On this farm I use both T4 and T6. Any thing I have a Kubota engine in on this farm I bought new and its had T6 in it since new. I have three semi trucks and a older JD 4440 and all they ever had in them is conventional oil so they get T4. The rest of my farm fleet JD tractors, combine and such have always had synthetic in them even though most I didn't buy new but know they had synthetic in them since new. They get T6. A friend of mind has a JD 4440 tractor that has 25,000 hours on it. It runs every day of the year feeding cows and hasn't been overhauled yet and has only had T4 in it. His dad bought it new in 1979. They service the tractor well and its heater is plugged in when not in use in the winter.
