Is anyone able to decipher the year from the serial number on my KX41 (no dash)?

I'm having trouble enquiring about parts for it because Kubota don't seem to list the KX41 on their parts sites any more.
They have KX41H, KX41-2 and KX41-3 but not the KX41.

Model: KX41
Serial: 12736
Engine No: 702684

I just checked Kubota Canada parts, and they don't list it either. Even google does not show it, ???

If Im not mistaken, but the KX41-2 is the same thing with the D1105 engine. Your serial does not come up in Kubota's data base. Only thing close is a KX71 but that certainly aint it.

Have you considered contacting Kubota directly, either by phone or email, and asking them? Probably what I would do if a dealer has no idea either.

I now realize you are in Australia. I want to think that when I was looking for information on my KX41-2V that there were some differences between North America models and those sold in other countries.

Curiously.. the tag is in

English
German
French

so maybe a German version, imported to Australia by a German company doing work there ??

for sure I'd email the plate picture to Kubota Japan and ask.....

The local Kubota parts place said it's definitely different to the KX41-2. They got the workshop manual for it but it doesn't include a parts list or exploded view of sections. That's what I'm chasing so I can confidently request quotes on parts.

I'll give them a try. Thanks

Well here is the issue.
It's a JDM model, it's not really a grey, but same issue.
There isn't a whole lot of documentation on these.
There were no WSM's or Parts manuals for these models.
Finding parts is really really hard to do.
I don't know of any easy work around.

I'm not sure what JDM is but I was able to order the WSM from Kubota through a dealer who had an older parts guy who knew the model.

OK, I'm curious

is this KX41 the original '41' or a 2nd cousin ??
Wouldn't Kubota use same parts for all '41' series ?
Who is/was JDM ? J for Japan , D= ??, M for Machinery ??
hmm, how OLD is the little beastie ?

You get it a little easier over on that side of the equator and pond.
Dealers here will not give you any info on a JDM or Grey Kubota.
They also won't sell you parts for a JDM or Grey.
Good job finding the manual, I looked and got nothing.

Well dang it, I did have that WSM in my stash, it was mislabeled.

The 'trick' to buying 'grey' parts is to find a 'real' model that uses the same part. I've never been asked 'what's it for', but prepared anyway.
Wonder if there' s manuals in Germany ?
