Been working on this new to me B6000 4x4 - pretty rough, a bit weathered but came with a loader and box scraper, newish tires, etc for 2900.00! Did a full service, had to clean up some electrical wiring issues and noticed yesterday oil pressure light (it was previously missing) was not turning off and thought oh oh, perhaps the missing cam plug syndrome. Pulled oil pressure sender, screwed in my tester, fired her up and voila, 55 psi - drops to 30 at a

Question - how long did you run it? And did you run it under load?

I have a B7100 - runs 55-60 psi with 5w-40 synthetic, but if I cut grass for an hour, it will be at 10-12 psi burning hot at at the lowest idle possible. I have let it idled without cutting grass and it will stay very high.

Huge difference between idle temps and working temps. I understand it might be difficult to meter the psi with the gauge stuck to it while doing work however.

Thanks, I may stand to be corrected but I have never known oil pressure to change that much under load vs no load -operating temperatures under load, definitely!
