I promise I am not a scammer.

Looking to buy (80% sure, 50% sure if you ask the wife) a 3 cylinder motor for a B7610. Ideally in michigan or north Ohio so I can pick up.

Unless there's a mobile guy in michigan (outside of traverse city) who wants to come rebuild mine.

I'm new to this tractor stuff and am not the greatest with diesels but once it's running I can maintain ish. Hasn't ran in almost 10 years

What's wrong with the one you have?

It was my father in laws on there estate. About 8 years ago it overheated, I shut it off. It never restarted from then. My brother in law decided to do a head gasket on it. Still has never restarted. Both before and after the head gasket job it would crank no problem. We have moved to the house it's at now and I desperately want/need to have it running for the winter for the snow thrower attachment.

I'm not locked in yet to a motor but in case that's ends up being the situation I'd like to be prepared. The battery and cables are toast so that's my first stop this weekend so I can test compression

I would guess that the head is cracked and you have low compression. There is a salvage yard in the southeast part of the USA that may be able to help you get a used engine if it comes to that OR just a used head if that is what it requires.

Good luck with it!
