Would a 5ft box blade be to big for a L175?

I'm needing a box blade to help maintain a driveway. Was wondering if a 5ft blade would be to big for the L175.

Try out a landscape rake first if you're just wanting to break up the top layer and spread it some. They work surprisingly well on gravel. They won't rip up the gravel and soil like a box blade and if you're drive is in really bad shape may not be the best. It can make your drive look fresh again. It will be alot easier for that 2wd 17hp machine to handle.

I use a box blade every 5th or 6th time i go over my gravel lot. The rest i just use a 6ft rake for a refresher. My 19hp and 4wd can struggle in some situations with a 5ft BB.

I agree with a rake and gauge wheels make it even more useful. With that setup you can set the depth of your rake.

A 4’ B.B. is perfect for my b7100. I can be hard to pull when it gets full. I have 4 wheel drive so I think you will struggle with a bigger box.:)

Thank you for those who responded to my question. I never thought about a rake, I'll see if I can find one. I still would like to try a 4 foot BB.

Thank you again.

I have an L175 and 4' landpride. Good combo.

5'..depends what you're doing. It's gonna lift the front of the tractor (the 4' makes the front light - no loader or weights on mine). Filled with dirt/gravel..yeah, you're doing wheelies. (fun but the wife won't like it)
