In looking for a single bottom moldboard plow for the 7100 I have found them rare and overpriced. I can get a two bottom plow much cheaper so, what if I took off the second plow assembly but left all the upper frame support in place?

I had an old 2 bottom JD plow. Removed one beam with the plow and rolling couiler, then welded the 3 pt arms back on with bracket for top link. Been using it for 30 years!

Curious as to what you will use it for?

Here in NC I rarely see anyone turning over soil anymore. I do see them used to create berms across fields to prevent erosion.

And the rare occasion turning over a fallow field.

Either way I think you could prolly modify a double to suit your needs.

Best of luck.

I would actually use it for drainage control on rare occasions. It's primary use would be turning my own garden.
