Welcome to the forum. Need a little more information...

Do you have a Workshop Manual with electrical diagram and a volt/ohm meter?

You're assuming it's a switch but what else have you done? Have you checked:
Fuses?
Ground wires cleaned and tightened (a very common issue)?
Battery is good?
Key switch is good?
Voltage to the starter when key is turned to start?
Does it turn over but not fire up?
Fuel filters good?
Fuel pump good?
Etc.

Make sure the PTO is off.

The WSM will point to all the parts of the system, and how to test them.
Do you have the WSM?

The battery is fine 12.78 v Removed cables cleaned , removed ground connection cleaned reinstalled . Manual transmission. Neutral switch on shifter , switch on seat , PTO disengaged . No clutch switch . I can put the bucket on the ground put it in neutral and start the tractor without sitting on the seat . Turn the key to start the dash lights come on and nothing else happens . 2013 l3200 .

Didn’t Check the bigger fuses . Didn’t see Them . Don’t know how to bypass starter’s sylnoide. Spelling is not my strong point .

If you jump the solenoid you need to be careful since it can spin engine over and tractor could run over you and injure you.

But there should be a small wire (black with white stripe?) attached to a spade terminal on the solenoid. Remove that wire then attach a test light or volt meter to that wire then turn the key to the start position with all safety switches in the correct position to allow starting (same as you have been successfully starting it). If there is voltage to that then that shows everything is working properly and the starter should be working correctly.

Then to verify that the starter and solenoid are operating correctly you will need to apply voltage directly to the spade terminal. Use a wire directly from the positive battery terminal to the terminal. Use a 12 gauge wire or something similar, just not too small. Tractor engine will crank if the starter and solenoid are operating properly.

Between these two tests you should know if it is wiring problems or starter problem.

There is a common problem with the wiring and safety switches where there might be voltage at the solenoid terminal but there has been enough voltage drop that the solenoid won’t work. That problem is solved by installing a relay that is operated by the solenoid wire but closes and supplies voltage directly from the battery. See this schematic.

Highly recommend you check this before getting too far down the rabbit hole. Ive bent mine/set it out of adjustment 3 times since having the tractor just from leaning around while reversing and accidentally pushing on it. Every time my tractor wouldn't start this was the reason.

+1 on this.

My right hand automatically “shoots back” to jiggle the PTO switch when my 2501 wont crank……It’s almost instinct at this point.

I need to look at it cause it happens all the time. ;)
