I'm not trading my L, but I thought I'd post this in case others are in the market.

Seems like a few nice improvements and seems a bit quieter HST, and an option for larger tires with LED lights, and up to 40 HP.

I'm happy with my LX3310 for now. If I was looking I'd price a LX4020 and a Grand L4060 to see if they were close in price. If so, I'd opt for the L.

I can't explain why, but I kept "looking up" when he was driving around with the decibel meter to make sure we didn't hit anything...... 😂 😂 😂 😂

I don't get all the Hype about LED headlights, the are useless when the bucket is even slightly lifted....and totally useless when clearing snow.

Some people take their loaders off. I would prefer a lightbar on the ROPS or Cab though.

Aside from the increased horsepower I don't see any real improvements. I suppose the lower noise level might be an incentive for some people, but I don't have a cab and I don't mind wearing hearing protection if anything sounds too loud.

Yes sir, hearing protection should be mandatory

Ya I sure don’t see enough changes that I’d trade in mine if I had one. Specs sheet would show me more of what’s upgraded/different then this video. if buying one and having to decide between these two then that’s a different story

To me an upgrade would have been to add the extra functions not just the bracket to mount them on. Also a new loader that is only rated around the same lift capacity isn’t really an upgrade. It’s just a new loader. At least they drilled those darn grill guard hole for us. What a pain that job is. Lol
The noise factor did seem noticeably better and the idle auto adjusting with foot pedal are the two things I found to be better from this video. Both pretty sweet tractors to get the job done.

When I sold my BX and got the B, I really wanted the 3350, but the dealer convinced me not to go with the 3350 with the issues they had seen (I am glad they did too). That said I’d like to have a little more HP on the B. However the B is paid for and I’ll not be getting rid of it. That LX to me is the price of an L…if I were to pay that price I’d want to see more weight and lift capability. I’d think to pay the L price on a LX you would really have to value tractor width being less over the L, otherwise I am not sure what you are really getting with the LX. Sure it’s for more HP than the B and that would be nice, but it doesn’t add weight or lift the way I am understanding the specs. I’d trade straight up for it but would not take a loss or pay more for it I guess.

The LX has quite a bit more lift and capability than the B. About 20% on most measures. Rule of thumb is you need more like 50% to really notice it, but if I was choosing between the two I wouldn't say they were similar.

Has anyone shopping the LX4020 asked the sales rep about the problematic couplings connecting the front hitch to the blower? Last winter was the most frustrating winter I have had since 1985. I would have gladly swapped my $45,000 heated cab LX for my old JD 770. I moved 30” of snow with a rear blade. I am sure I had a scowl on my face for 7 hrs. I think my neck hurt for a week. If I was buying a new LX I would demand in writing something that states that POS coupling is 100% covered and it will be fixed in MY garage ASAP. We had two meaningful snowfalls last year and I only had a rear blade for both of them. PISSED OFF, my blood pressure is climbing just thinking about it.

I think it might be specific to your setup. GPOutdoors on YouTube doesn't seem to have an issue from what I remember with his LX2610. Maybe you could watch a few of his videos to find out what you are doing differently if you've already tried your dealer.

There are tons of failures if you search here and as I was talking with sales rep last winter he finally admitted the numerous issues.

Was there a fix suggested by the dealer or someone else?
Nope, just replace the couplers. They were covered under warranty, two years from date of purchase. I hope engineers are working on solution.
