Which Mower to buy?

I'm looking for advice about which mower to buy - any help is appreciated. We have 8 acres with two houses. I have a tractor for the fields but need a decent mower to cut around two houses where the tractor cannot. This area is probably 2-3 acres. The two models in question are a new ZG 127 (new and listed for $5,749 with a 54" cutter) and a used ZG227 with a 54" cutter. The used model has 165 hours on it and is three years old and in good shape. My wife will want to use the mower so ease of use will play into it some. Thanks.

I'd go with the 54 inch deck and with the higest horse power enging you can get to put on it.

what is the breakdown on the cost of the used mower?
I would say if the used approaches 80% of new, might ough to buy the new one.....
but then again, got any pictures of the used one?
