Got a chance to buy a 68' bbc 427 CE engine. Marked SHP, not a tall deck. Codes show this to be a period high performance replacement engine, corvettes, camaros, etc. Complete minus carb. Heads and all code out to 427. The gentleman selling took this as trade in the 80's on an old 50's truck behind his house. Motor turns free, no tell tells. I've made an offer, but what do ya think on your offer?

The heads are worth about a grand maybe more depending where you are,, if everything else is good,,, it might be the find of the year
