Great night for another Reuben. Favorite when watching Syracuse University basketball.

Oven roasted potatoes with pork tenderloin from the grill.

38 degrees and sunny here today.

Good day to throw something on the grill.

Probably posted something similar a year ago for Super Bowl.

Wings 3.5 # @ $1.50/# = $5.75 plus my homemade sauce $2 = let’s call it $8
Pizzas ~ maybe $5 ea = $10.

$18 all in. Heard a restaurant with similar deal for $59.

My food cost target was 30% when I was in the business. $60 is spot on.

No pics, but had the first get together at the new house this weekend - a nice lasagna - but with gluten free pasta, as one of guest is celiac (aka REALLY gluten intolerant) . Actually came out pretty good. A successful first party at the new place. (other than my kids)

Chicken Pot Pie. Supposed to be one, but it kept growing as ingredients were added.

It turned out very well.

Beef. It’s what’s for dinner this weekend.

Boston Roast will be BBQ Beef sammiches Saturday afternoon in front of the Syracuse basketball game.

Rump roast on right will be beef burgundy over egg noodles Sunday.

I was looking at that smoked brisket above with the thermometer in it, and I decided that my little sous vide gadget that clips onto a pot of water was a poor man's smoker. I ran across a recipe that turns chuck roast into prime rib with no additional browning or dirty pans. Take raw roast and cover with a tablespoon or so of Better than Bouillon (the secret weapon) , sprinkle liberally with Montreal Steak seasoning or rub of your choice, put in a plastic bag and remove air. Submerge in water and set temperature for doneness of choice, eg 136 or so for medium rare. Leave in for 24 hours. Remove and pat dry and serve. Yum! Melt in your mouth tender. No picture, it's down to the bone.

Here is a recipe supposed to be for breakfast, a baked oats casserole, but the 3 cups of berries and the cup of chopped almonds, eggs, sugar, milk elevate it to dessert as far as I am concerned.
