Never had scrapple.

Had SPAM, vienna sausages, potted meat food product, canned corned beef, and salted cod in the wooden box.

I'm still looking for the can of VS's lacking the sausage in "pivot" spot in the middle. ;)
Speaking of which, check the cans on your Vienna sausages. I just seen they have a recall 😱😱😱

I used to work with a couple of imported Pennsylvanians. One of them brought some scrapple down one time to introduce us southerners to yankee cuisine. I took one look and offered to introduce them to chitterlings (I've never tried either one).

Ever since then, I've never taken any crap about southern cooking. (The bagels they brought were good).
I'm actually up for trying just about anything once. I do draw the line on certain anatomical parts though 😱😅🤣😅🤣

I can't do heat though. Spice yes, but I draw the line at pain. Had some locally made sausage in Hawaii that had mango and pineapple in the ingredients 👍👍👍👍 It was fantastic and wished I could find it locally.

Also tried an authentic Vietnamese restaurant while checking out china town in Honolulu. It was also a crash course in the use of chop sticks or starve 🤣😅🤣😅🤣😅 That was really good too.

I'm cheating tonight. Rotisserie flavored chicken wings in the oven. Sweet potato fries in the air fryer. Fiesta dip in the small crock pot. And a pint of Ben and Jerry's half baked for dessert 😎😎😎😎

Then back on my diet tomorrow 😬😬😬😬😬

Getting wings ready. Like to bake first, just until done. Season with seasoned salt and pepper, and a dark chili powder.

Will then deep fry to crispy.

I always fried raw in a restaurant. Like this way better at home.

Store cost was $18.72. If we bought from a restaurant, about $50. Exactly where I would price it if still in the business.

Down to my last can.......!

Can't decide if I want to go ahead and eat it or save it for a special occasion.

Not available locally in stores anymore.

always did them that way too, until a couple years ago…now I smoke them for about 2 hrs, then put the oven on convection at 400 and crisp them in there for a few minutes.

From a few weeks ago. The wings are one of my daughter’s favorites 😂

Tonight's dinner, I actually combined two recipes 😁😁😁 I found a recipe from Pillsbury for a sloppy joe bake layering the top with biscuits.

But the recipe called for canned sloppy joe sauce.

So I used the Pillsbury recipe for inspiration, but found a sloppy joe recipe for the ingredients instead. Layered the mix with biscuits and baked.

Here's the recipe for the sloppy Joe's. And the end product. 😁😁😁😁

Throw back to my younger days. Goulash. I make a lot; love it left over.

I do similar when I make it up. Leftovers for the next night and the rest gets frozen in individual containers and frozen to take for lunch at work.

By the way, that sloppy joe recipe I posted turned out really well 👍👍👍👍👍

No pics, but tonight I made up a buffalo chicken meatloaf, cooked on the smoker, green beans, home made yeast rolls, and white cheddar and bacon mashed potatoes.
