I looked at a tractor last night that belongs to a neighbor who's husband has recently passed away. She knows very little about it, hopefully her son can meet me her place soon and fill me in but until then I would like some help from you folks figuring this out.
It is a L-2050D 4WD and there was a chassis plate on the left frame rail and it looked like the serial number was 50903. It was dark in the shed and even though it had fuel and turned over easily we could not get it to start so I could not inpsect it very closely in the daylight. Couldn't find a choke but I bet there is some trick to getting it going she did not know?
Should this tractor have an hours meter? Where would it be located if it did? Didn't see one on the dash but overall it looks very lightly used, they only have about 8 or so cleared acres and she said they mainly used it to clear snow and tow around a self powered bush hog.
She thought it was 9 years old but the newest 2050D we have been able to find in classified listings was 1991. Thanks in advance for your help.
