I just purchased a 2009 kubota L4740 HST. I am wondering how high I should set my rpm? Newbie to tractors and snow blowing.....

Look on the tachometer it will have a mark where 540 RPM on the PTO will be achieved, that will be optimal. ;)

I run my snowblower in the 1000RPM gearing and then run the throttle at about 1/3 speed then I can bump it up when I need it, but I've been running equipment for years and I can fix all my... OOP'ies !

My dash is digital. So I guess I would just set my rpm or pto at 540.... I'm sure I will get the hang of it once we get enough snow to use it. Thanks for the response!
