What Ply for UTV?

I need new tires on my 1120. I have decided to go with a brand name I recognize - Carlisle. The tires I am considering are 6 ply. I use the vehicle around the yard, take it on the steep and muddy hill and into the woods, and also ride it on the country roads. I would not say I use it hard, as I have tractors. So - is 6 ply enough?

I think stock is 6 ply. My guess is 6 ply is probably fine.

I don't have a 1120 though.

8 Ply, I've gotten flats due to Shale with 6 Ply's on a couple of my Wheelers.

not enough IMHO.

I think the unit weighs approx. 2,000# dry with payload of 1,500 for gross vehicle weight of 3,500 pounds.
Tires rated 720 pounds each so 4*720=2,880.

so good enough for light duty but under for rated duty.

plse check my math as I might be wrong but not enough tire if going to run at capacity.
6 ply to 6 ply might be same but my radar went up because Carlisle is a utility / recreational inexpensive sxs tire while the Kubota uses factory HD for work side by side that came stock with worksite tires. IMHO.

so I guess depends n how you intend to use it and how you intend to sell it (as a work unit or a recreational unit)

I put these 10-ply's on my UTV. I got tired of fixing punctures on the 6-ply OEM tires.

I've used 6 ply and then went to 8 ply on Ranger 700XP. No matter what tire I use the tread is fine but tire begins to leak where the tread meets the sidewall. The rubber cracks and gets a slow leak. Not under inflated either.
