I installed a horn I took from a tiny Toyota and then installed a decompression cable on mine today. Was going to do a little grading on the drive but got tired

Unfortunately it is long gone to the metal recycling dumpster at our town transfer station.
I think the 346XP was one of the best 50cc saws made.

I don't know what your snow loads are up in PEI but around here in NE VT only the very robust units survive the heavy wet storms or rain on top of existing dry snow.

Typically the wind also keeps the roof clean of snow where I am. Good for one thing and bad for others.

Went to use the grapple yesterday to move some logs and things didn't work out.

One of the micro switched in the 3rd function handle quit working.

Had to go back to the old way of doing things.

I have things working again (for now). The 3rd function handle uses sub-miniature switches, but all I could find around the house was ultra sub-miniature switches (old mouse). So I 3d printer a filler to hold the ultra sub-miniature switch in place in the handle. I'm not sure how long the switch will take that current draw, but it got me back up and running.

I do have the correct switch on order, but it is going to take a week to get here. I order 5 so I would have some on hand when the other switch dies. The cost of shipping is so high for something that doesn't weigh anything. I really miss having a store to go to to get stuff like this. Even Radio Shack back in the day was better then nothing.

The poor Kubota had to sit and watch the little Ford do some Fall cleanup today. It was tempting to hook the 5' RFM to the Kubota but its been a long time since the Ford did much of anything. The 5' deck had to be the one because it's a side discharge. The RFM on the Kubota is rear discharge.

The deck has been outfitted with Lee Frake blades that work well.

Just got off the road…what a night….full moon out, lots of crazies, and gale warning up here at the lake. Absolutely aweful weather here. But I managed to bring my big girl’s new bling up with me and everything stayed attached despite the crazies on the road encouraging me to do brake checks and grab a little extra on the brake controller and the weather.

Me and you both. It was nice to be able to actually touch something before paying for it. 10 times out of 9, when I order something like that, what I get looks nothing like what I need, and rarely fits. That was my own fault if I picked up a part that I could see would not fit. It isn't my fault if the seller on Amazon or Ebay, get it wrong, but too many of them have no return policy. Buyer beware. It's all about making money on the internet now, not actual customer service.

Did you modify the OE blade? That sucker should have some SERIOUS lift.

I added wings to a set of blades. They've been balanced post-fabrication and do work like a vacuum. The deck makes a clean sweep for the width of the deck.

Since building here in '90 different methods have been tried. Ran over (and over and over) them to mulch them up, handheld blowers, 3-point DIY blower, backpack blower and most recently the old Ford and the 5' Caroni RFM. Back in '03 the B7500 did OK with a modified set of blades (pic below). However the wings were smaller and it wasn't great in deeper leaves.

Seems like the hot setup now is the backpack to start around the house and buildings and then switch to the Ford with the 5'RFM. It was fun to get the old tractor out for a romp, but "pleasantness" varied with the wind direction. The yard will need at least one more round and it may end up being the L4240 with that 5' RFM so I don't need to wear and breather all the dust.
