Moving on to the far side of the rock, let's take what's left of the top off by drilling holes and wedging around the perimeter:

Then give it a push so it tips over the edge and the grapple can get under it:

The bottom is going to have to be split into thirds, let's pull 1/3 out of the hole:

Very impressive and always good to see an EA grapple working hard.

When I worked remotely for Ruger I reported to the facility in Prescott, AZ and my boss down there split a bunch of rocks at his house using an expanding two-part product. I forget the name but he told me that it worked really well. Drill a hole, inject the mix, leave it overnight and next day pick up the pieces.

@Hugo Habicht is right, it has to get done so the drilling rig can drill a new well before winter. 55°Freedom (13°Communist) in the house this morning with no heat and no water (had to remove the gas line to put in the path for the drilling rig).

So, as the sun came up I was shooting holes:

Today was getting ready for winter maintenance. Oil filter, oil change, fuel filter(a PIA trying to not cross thread it as the diesel is pouring out) must of tried it four times before I got it on. Then greased everything.
And one thing I hadn't ever done since the tractor arrived here new in May of 2013- and that's change the front end fluid. Ive watched a couple videos over the yrs of people changing it. I just never have. Today I did, the fluid looked just like the engine oil. So I'm guessing it was time or slightly over do. Haven't looked in the owners manual for recommended time.
But its done now.

I don't know if your tractor is like mine but filling the front axle with oil takes a long time. I've found that if I fill it until oil comes out the full plug hole and I wait a while the oil level will be low and will take more oil. Takes a while and a few checks to get it full. I asked about this on OTT and others confirmed that this is normal.

Unloaded and stacked 18 fresh bales of hay. These were a bit too wide at 7 ft to stack side by side so I managed to sneak some in sideways. That was heavy with the weight way out beyond the forks. The BiG B got it done though.

Finally, the last piece:

I started to fill in the hole, just one "small" rock on the right to go. There was no way i was able to move it with the bucket.

Gotta say, I bought the grapple for brush, but when the excavator operator fell off the map the grapple sure came in handy.

Cut up some fallen oak. It was caught up in some smaller trees and 5ft off the ground at the highest point. Kubota helped push it over to the ground then carry the cut logs back to home base.

Friday I saw we were going to have a stretch of decent weather so I put the sickle bar on the L3010 to do the late season mowing, I only mow the roadsides and three small rough fields once a year - in the fall. It takes me 3 or 4 days the way I work and mounting the mower is a bit of a chore so I like to do it once. I remove the loader and mount the suitcase weights, grease the mower and drive shaft - there are 15 zerks, then I have to take off the TnT cylinders and put on the manual top link and side links. This is because there is a counter balance type chain that puts pressure on the top link. It also eliminates hydraulic drift in the TnT setup.

I mowed about 4 hrs yesterday and another 3 hrs today. I've got about that much more to do.
