Bringing the water cart around again.

I wonder if I stocked the RTV with a cooler and mini bar if my wife would serve me while I'm watering? 😆

Good day.

what’s the reason for hanging the paint cans?
It’s a shop area with a 10’6” ceiling. Writing what it is on the bottom of the cans and hanging them on the ceiling makes them all easily accessible, easy to find what I’m looking for, and saves a ton of shelf space. I have a hook pole so I can hang stuff on the ceiling and pull it down quickly without getting out a stepladder or clearing the floor. Not an original idea. Saw one of my friend’s shop with paint and a few other things in the ceiling and copied his method.

That’s a great idea…never thought of that. 👍

Do you know any taxidermists? Sometimes they are interested to have them…maybe they like to come get it?
I don’t know any local. Might look into that if we have to remove them before they die off naturally.

I didn’t find anything on folks getting them for antivenin production.

Spent the day digging out stumps. Probably on the cusp of what this little tractor can handle, but it got the job done! Lots of rocks in the soil here as well making it more difficult.

None of my property is very flat, so the ballast and spacers really do help, and have skid places from front to back soon the undersize from Bro-Tek which have been fantastic.

Picked up an IBC tote today. $100...ugh little more than I wanted to spend but I'm in Vermont and they are hard to find sometimes. This one was clean, just had organic agave syrup in it. Brand new tote as well. It was emptied last week and it's in really good shape and still had paper work and adapter with it haha.

I'm definitely not going to be able to lift it full but I suspect I can put 80 -100 gallons in it and that will be plenty to water some remote areas. Ordered adapters for a garden hose today, should have those by Friday.

We had two Kubotas working on my sawmilling job today:

The little L3701 was handling lumber.

And the MX6000 was bringing logs to the sawmill.

Finally took the snow blower off the RTV. And discovered I really need to use it more in the summer. It was horribly gutless! It used to be really strong, did a solid 24/25 MPH and climbed my hills at 7 MPH with a load of gravel and AC on.
Took about 5 or 6 laps around property and up my hills before it finally started coming back around.
Ever since I put the K-Connect on and bought another sport side by side I quit using it for trail riding. So I told family start driving around property with it to keep it in use.

As you can see, after talk on another thread about problems with the drive couplers, mine shows no wear after almost 40 hours.

I’m a taxidermist and I will speak for us all. No! You keep them. A side note we have had people bring them to the shop first bit of winter and when the hive warms up so do the hornets that’s always a great time.
Thanks for the heads up. Will add them to the shop ceiling if they make it long enough. And yeah, it’s a good idea to put the whole thing in a freezer for about a week before considering it safe unless it’s collected well into winter.

Oh my…I have traded them for reduced fees with mine (amongst other items). Anyway to each their own. It’s nice of you to speak up for all. It was Just a suggestion.

It’s interesting when you look at the catalogs there are a lot of options for using and including them in realistic scenes.

Neighbor had an incident where he went out west for a hunt and came back with a few rattlers to be added into some of his taxidermies....apparently they weren't in the freezer long enough and when he got home there was quite a lot of rattling coming from the bucket...

You could do like @S-G-R and trailer that bad boy around. It doesn't have to be orange, but we'd prefer it LOL.

Or I reckon it might could fit on some carry alls. Then you could tote her from the back.

Just a note from experience on hauling a tote on the front forks ... The more you can tip it back, the more gallons you can carry/lift ... I put a 6X6 under the front before "filling" to get a head start ... I get a little more than 50 gallons in mine for my SCUT to carry ... Tipping it back allows more water to be closer to the "pins"!

I plumbed mine up to use 2 hoses ... Mine had a weird thread size, so I just used the rubber adapter.

IMG_20240613_053716755.jpg

I ended up not using the valves, just hang the hose higher than the water level ...

Gravity flow works for me ...

That's a great idea. Luckily I have a spare 6x6 that's at the perfect size. It's overkill for what I need but I didn't feel like paying $170 for a tractor supply water tank that was only 35 gallons.

Or a cement block that's bigger ...

Mine are way bigger than I can actually use too, I only fill the back one up with 125 gallons ... As it gets top heavy on my trailer, and I take it on uneven hillsides ...

I paid $75 each for my very well used cruddy ones ...

I added a few pictures to the previous post .

Had a horse get free in one the storms a while back. Wrangled it up, gave it a bath, and put it back to pasture.

Some how I didn't notice the small bee nest inside the fiberglass horse until after setting it in the bucket. Sprayed them and then mounted it back in it's resting place. The white horse was left behind by previous home owners. Decided to keep the tradition going.

Then I tried to work on my wildlife watering hole. Still too wet, try again this weekend.

I drove the tractor up to the road so the dealer wouldn't try to come down my driveway. Its kind of tight.
