Man. It was $450That's a good score right there!
I've been putting our fdr1672 through the ringer for 5 years now. Did more land clearing than mowing in its first year.
Very durable.

Did you not read my latest post? Haha I got it out in one piece and already got rid of itTry cutting vertically with chain saw to split the stump in half and then quarters. Do your best to keep chain out of dirt/rocks. Then concentrate on removing one quarter at a time. Or make friends with someone with an excavator. Good luck.
Exactly. Functional!Good score! The grass won’t know it’s not shiny.
I did. Info provided for future reference.Did you not read my latest post? Haha I got it out in one piece and already got rid of it![]()
I did cut some more with the chainsaw to make it easier to maneuver except it kinda killed the saw 🥹 I think the tree grew on top of a dirt pile and so it has stones that you couldn't see and chainsaw blades don't fair well against rocks haha.I did. Info provided for future reference.
Round these parts that'll get you a good ole "atta-boy" followed by a firm hand shake.I can't believe, but I got that big ol' stump out!!!!
It took me a week worth of digging with a shovel, swinging an axe and using a wrecking bar. The tractor couldn't lift it very well but once I removed most the dirt from the stump I was able to move and lift it a little with the bucket. I never dug out a stump this big before.
it's so satisfying to get it out after all this work.

Smoothed out the area after, need to get some clean fill but I need get a couple more drainage pipes to finish extending the drainage line from the house and then top soil it all and seed some of it. Part of it's gonna be my parking area from of the tractor attachments. Going to relocate my shed to somewhere in here at some point.
Things are looking better each time!
Haha thanks! I feel proud of myself. I've dug up small stumps in the past but having a tractor sure makes it easier.Round these parts that'll get you a good ole "atta-boy" followed by a firm hand shake.
And I mean FIRM!..... we don't throw a man dead fish around here. LOL
Nice job!

Tractor weights 2 1/2 times what the rtv weights empty. Weight in the bucket extended past the front tractor tires leaves deep ruts in our soft still damp ground. The rtv makes less damage as long as I don't use the same tracks twice. We have the next lot up that would have gotten it closer on solid ground but the telephone and cable lines are sagged so low the truck couldn't use that entrance.I have to ask, if the rtv only carries 1/2 a scoop, and the tractor carries 1 scoop, why not just tractor it over there? Wet ground, maybe? Good luck with the project!
I learned that the hardway haha. I got some good ruts in my yard now..whoops.Tractor weights 2 1/2 times what the rtv weights empty. You can air those front tires up, put a load in the bucket with no rear ballast, and get pretty good compaction.Tractor weights 2 1/2 times what the rtv weights empty. When I retired last year, I was told by someone I had the toughest handshake they had ever encountered.
Maybe I should dial it back for 80-year-old women.....
Just joking - - - it was a very fit adult male younger than me.
They never learned how to shake hands, and you look them in the eye....
Looks like the snowblower does a fine job on the driveway!
