What type of "grass" was that?
Looks good. Everything I mow is KR bluestem and it always leaves stubble growth that makes it look like I didn't overlap. Shredder is set up correctly. Best I can guess is this is left when the blades blow it down so it doesn't get cut. I had to run over and re-cut that since the landowner is really picky.
Don't know if you can see it, since photo doesn't really show it.

Picked up a new LS WCG1154A Grapple today, and ordered the Summit 3rd Function kit for the LX. The LX is about to get a lot more useful for cleaning up my lot.

Used the LX3310 and HLA root rake grapple. Started with this

Easily my favorite attachment for the tractor. I left the crap on the other side of the property line back here but there is a bit of deadwood that I'll cut out. A large family corporation owns the land and I keep the line clean and mow the driveway so they don't seem to care what I do.

Didn't grab a photo of it in use yet - but I've got my first tractor just over a week ago. About 2.5 months from order to delivery, but the 3rd function kit isn't in yet. I've got some sections of my 5 acres that the zero turn isn't able to do. Those spots haven't been touched since i bought the place in July. Brush hug, backing up , took care of all of that.

I added 3" wheel spacers this week. Today's main use was lifting up the front of the zero turn to clean the deck after what I hope is the last cut of the year.

Finished chipping the limbs I trimmed from the edges of my fields. I tweaked the hydraulics that set the tension for the infeed so I don't have to hold the lever. I also made a chainsaw holder and attached to the chipper.

Repaired the gouges dug in the driveway when I dragged the pallets with my sawmill in them up the drive last week. Tractor arrived After the sawmill, or I wouldn't have had to drag the pallets. Then I lifted the sawmill head assembly with the tractor so I could move forward with assembling the mill. And then I took the tractor for a little test/familiarization drive in the woods and decided learning to drive this tippy thing is going to be quite an experience ;)

What brand of spacers did you go with?

Yesterday I checked on tire chains.
Figured out that I would need wheel spacers to put chains on the rear os my tractor.
I already had some tire studs.
I put 743 studs in today. I am short about 350 to finish the job.
Very easy to install, just time consuming.
We the last three boxes of studs show up I will finish the job

Not much. Just added a fused 12v, weatherproof outlet. Can charge my phone from it if needed or run a spotlight, fan, other 12v plug in device. Probably won't see much use but I had it laying around my shop.

27 year old L2350DT didn't come with many amenities.

Did a little driveway work after the 1.75" of rain the other day.

10_41_27.jpg

Used the grapple to clean up some old wood so I could use the area for firewood stacking.

Made fast work of it, been wanting to clean this area up for a couple of years, but didn't really want to do it by hand. Need to get the rest of the wood off the trailer, had one of the tire come apart about 3 miles from home. Had to drive 10 MPH so the loose tread won't beat the fender to death. What's in the picture is about 1/3 of what was on the trailer.

Do you know if that was the light duty one or do you happen to have a model number? Looking to add a 3rd function kit from summit this winter and really looking to get a grapple as my property is heavily wooded.

I was told by a local farmer is was “a lot of Blue Stem”. It was tall when I mowed it and yes in some places I did have to go over the tire tracks but the mower did a good job when the grass went under the cutter. I was no going very fast. That may have had something to do with it.

We may not have KR Blue Stem. I didn't see it growing in clumps like KR does where it was the only grass present.

Just sold my Army surplus diesel generator. Only 10kw but weighs over 1300lbs. I could only lift it by curling the forks. What a load on the front end!
With the buyer manually lifting while I raised the fel we were able to get it high enough for him to back his trailer under it.

Consider welding some plate on the back of that grapple to provide your tractor some more protection from wood stabs pushing through. The front pieces on the tractor are not cheap, lesson learned. And when I was using grapple on the CTL, the wood stabs felt like they were trying to pierce me in the cab.

Here is mine now with welded plate.
