Well i just checked the weather warning statement for my area, they dont know whats going to happen here, so they are playing it safe in saying they will start with 7 inches of snow forecast, but could be alot more before its done.

Our girl Kayla Kubota is ready for plowin! BRING IT ON MAMA NATURE, BRING IT ON!!!

Northern Minnesota checking in here with NO SNOW predicted anytime soon. So even though I put the blower on more than a month ago, it has just been sitting in the garage waiting. Couldnt take it any longer, so I warmed up my tractor, and took a drive in the woods on the trails I am going to keep open for my wife to walk the dog on. Took a nice slow drive and listened to some 70's music in the solitude of my cab. Best I could do with no snow.

Enjoy your snow and be safe. We got almost .25” out of it here. May send my son out with the leaf blower out to clear the walkway. Hopefully we stay below freezing and I can get back in the woods for more rounds this weekend

6 to 10 inches on tap here so plow and box blade are finally deployed and ready to roll; though usually when I mount my snow tools, the weather disappoints...

Yup, did my first cleanup at 6, just looked out to see 6" again! I'll hit it one more time tonight, and clean up tomorrow, taking the day off. Good times😁

Took a first cut at snow. Forecast is a foot or so.
Haven’t used the blower yet this season. All worked well on the 4-5” we’d gotten. Just wanted to make sure all was in running order.

No snow here so I busied myself adding a Thumb to the pallet forks.
IMG_8759.JPG

Unboxed and ready.
IMG_8762.JPG

But first I had to remove the center upright on the pallet fork frame.
IMG_8765.JPG

Installed and ready for a trip to the hydraulic hose shop.
IMG_8772.JPG

The hydraulic hose man recommended that I use 1/4" hose rather than 3/8" and a flow reducer. I am happy with the speed and smoothness of the operation.

I used the tractor's rear hydraulics.

Well, we got 30”. Impressive amount of snow.

Did two neighbors, will likely add a couple more.

I did go do 2 other neighbors’ places.....that little Kubota moved a lot of snow today.

One place, the driveway is just a pull-off from the road, about 70-80’ long and 20’ wide. Snow banks were 5’ high. Took quite a while, but blew it out of there. Banks were caving onto the tractor floorboards, and stopping up to pedals....

but.. did you have fun!
Honestly, no. Too much snow and concerns over breaking something. Thankfully roads were closed, so I didn’t have much traffic to pay attention to.

Snow was light; I didn’t even break a shear bolt in 5 driveways!! Woo hoo!

I did see some hydraulic fluid drips in one driveway on a second trip. Was about half-quart low at end of the day.

Haven't found the source yet....thinking maybe a coupler was leaking a little.

I’m often concerned about getting hit by a truck while out there on the aprons, like my wife’s picture of me I posted earlier.

I’ve had my tractor for 7 winters, so the novelty has worn off.

The 2 places I did before my own are the older owner of a pharmacy and a person that works for the railroad.

They don’t get off work because of snowstorms....important I get them out...both driveways are quite long.

Two of the four offered to pay me, which I refused. The other 2 know I won’t take anything and don’t ask.

I’m lucky that my work was closed, and I’m happy to help my neighbors. We’re pushing 60, and are youngsters in our little ‘hood of 5 houses that we’ve been in for 30 years.

So, I didn’t really have fun, but was happy doing what I was doing......

Sounds bassakwards, but many probably have the same sentiment, whether they realize it or not.

Skeets, you should see the header on the outside of my garage where I keep forgetting the ROPS needs to be down before driving in

40" of the white powder caught us off guard, glad I put on the snow tools yesterday as it is way too deep to fool with them. No chains but the M powered through. Still a lot of clean up. Pics to come as I am having breakfast at 2 pm:coffee:
