Found time to make the lever and install the linkage to the diverter valve for the three point hitch. The original Kubota solution is very elegant but the individual parts would have added up to about $1000. So I put in a normal hand valve and made a linkage to the original handle position; a bit tricky and not very elegant, but space was tight and it works fine. I want to keep the other side free for the rear PTO clutch lever.

All that is left is a bracket for the valve to the frame and relocating the temperature alarm horn and a contactor.
Very impressive.

Used the L3901DT to move firewood into the boiler shed. Only got 2 bucket load in. I had a "Date Day" with my wife. Went to a nice restaurant for lunch. It sure was nicer then moving firewood. But anytime I can spend time with the wife is a good time to me.

I got my control valve in finally! Got it mounted on the bracket and most of the hoses connected! Ran into a little issue, the fittings I ordered from Discount Hydraulics, well I
don’t have a adapter fitting to get my hose to connect the banjo. But I have found one at
Tractor Supply in Cedar Point, NC which is only about a 20 or so drive from my church, so after services tomorrow, I’ll be going to get it. So hopefully I’ll be able to get it all done afterwards and get the testing started and see how everything is going to work out. I will post pictures and hopefully a short video of the testing on my driveway, since it really does need a little bit of work! Have not been able to get the drive done while I have been trying to get this project completed.

I don't ever remember seeing conditions like we have this morning. The "snow" is like really bad shave ice and is serving to hold a lot of water on the driveway. If this stuff freezes it's going to be treacherous. I made some passes to clear it off but it's like running a large fire hose, although it does work.

Well, snow is very beautiful when it comes but the mess that comes with it makes me really happy that I live in the southern part of the country. Yes, we do get it occasionally but it’s gone that next day. I lived in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan as a teenager and had to shovel it, dad was stationed there in the Air Force for 4 years. Said I would never leave the south again and married a woman from Missouri and lived there 32 years. Well I am back and I will only move to the Caribbean but I don’t think that will happen either. But I am going to Puerto Rico over the Holidays for a cruise and a week in Puerto Rico about 12 days. Just to get away from the cold weather we are having here!

We had two trees taken down. We paid to have a tree service do them and then I cleaned it up. Saved a good chunk of money by doing the clean up myself.

It's still green in Southern Illinois??? It's 3°F in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. It snowed then rained then froze solid. It's so cold the dog froze to the tree when I let him out to pee.

Brrr, that’ll shrivel things up….-1 degree F ambient over here when I got up (-14 with windchill)

Plowed yesterday with ATV yesterday evening but see we got a bit more…forecast looks like the rest will melt off this week without any help from me.

Yep, parts are still green. It was 3 degrees when we woke up and currently 6 degrees with a cold advisory from the NWS. I think the reason we are still green, we got three early snows so we have been all snow covered. Then we had a couple of days off warmer temps, then the bottom dropped out again, but then we are supposed to warm back up and could be in the 60s for Christmas.

Fired up the B3200 and did a quick snow removal. Only got around 3” and this time it was light and fluffy. 4F with a good breeze made the open station a bit nippy. Barn blocked the wind so doing the drive by the house was quite enjoyable.

Wasn't planning on dealing with snow removal today but the storm that was supposed to pass south of us brought slow steady flakes totaling an annoying 2". Back blade time......the gravel is frozen at this point so was able to use the aggressive side of the blade. Will most likely have to sand tomorrow.....

I also found it funny and right on time for another thread as I got to the top of the driveway and saw our beloved Fed Ex drive dumped a Chewy box under our mailbox on the opposite side of the road. Glad I grabbed it before the plow destroyed it an/or someone grabbed it.....

I wish I'd have been finished with repairing my new-to-me used and abused back blade. It would have been handy for the mini-snow we got. This one is a 7-footer and better match for this tractor. The widest BB ready to use is only a 6-footer. Short on time and good weather to work on it outside. I think I have all the pieces needed. Hope I can arrange things so the shed door closes with blades at both ends of the Kubota 🥴

Gotta learn to dress warm for those open stations. Heated gloves really help.
I have found long johns, Carhartt bibs and hoodie over a wool base layer and a waterproof outer shell and a good hat or facemask with Muck boots (with or without toe warmers) gets the job done.

Typically if we are getting snow temps are in the 20s with some wind. I have been out there in the single digits and it isn't my first choice for a good time.......

Bright sun and no wind by barns fooled me. Trip down it was at my back but the way back was another story. Should have grabbed a face mask/scarf. Nothing else was cold. Had I needed to do multiple drive passes, I would have went in and layered up more. Usually I have some insulated carharts, pack boots and balaclava on. I had to drain out the washer fluid from the wife’s ride before this since it was summer fluid and froze up Saturday night coming home. Did this in a “warm” 28F garage. Siphoned out 1.5 gallons and replaced with winter blend then pumped about a quart though all the lines.

I bought this winter jacket called bearforce back in the late 90's. I can be out plowing in negative temps and I still sweat in it. Its big and bulky but its real warm. This, with my heated gloves does a great job. Haven't found a winter jacket that can match this one. Wear snow pants bu have those real thick carharts bibs if needed. Also picked up a full face helmet that folds up at the chin, and has a secondary dark visor if needed in sunny days for under $100 bucks. Maybe some day I'll get a enclosed canopy but until then, am good to go.
