Today I got caught up on some wood and mowing.

Cut up a load to haul home and then I went and mowed and checked out the spray zone for future pollinator habitat, cleaned up some storm damage, found a small leak on the new top link (I gave you t half a grunt) and now it’s time for some fresh air and hydration.

One of my good neighbors summoned me for help just after lunch today. We got a Case down.

A couple mile ride back into the woods to his property

He's cutting his whole place which he does once or twice a year. I've offered several times to help him cut to lighten his load, its quite a bit of land. They run all older, open cab equipment. Old school.

Ended up getting the text that his ole one eyed 2wd case done flexed out and aint going nowhere.

Luckily it wasn't too bad. Ground is still fairly hard. Just ended up picking up the bush hog so he could back out. Turned out the old case couldn't lift the bush hog high enough to get out.

He had quite a bit left to do. So I went back home and put the mower on so I could cut a couple acres for him.

I just dropped a fair-sized bald-faced hornets' nest on the ground. I got nailed by one and ran for the house. I hate getting stung, but I would rather get stung by three ground hornets that one sting by the bald-face SOB's DANG! they hurt.
Yep, they suck for sure...nasty as hell.

took down a dead white pine and graded the lower pasture until it got to greasy from rain.

I had quite the audience while cutting the tree, so I gave them a few dead limbs to play with and eat.

I couldn't help myself from saying "fetch" when I tossed the limbs into their pen. :)

Wishing your oldest best of luck with the ladies 👍

Nice helping out with the mowing. I used to hate it but i enjoy it now. Peace and quiet and you don't have to think about anything unless you want to.
