Kudos to whoever developed that system...I would say they have a very bright future ahead. I would guess it has it's limitations it would equally fit a niche that isn't being met. Great design...great idea....American (I hope) ingenuity at its best.

If memory serves me correctly, there was something like this made a while back that bolted to the wheel hubs with the tires removed. Not as easy of an install but similar concept. All in all still a good idea.

Neat, but at what cost?? The only real thing that is happening here is that the ground clearance has been increased. You could probably do nearly the same in fresh snow with appropriate general tires. Yes, you're getting more with the bigger footprint, but again, you're just adding ground clearance and at what cost?

Just my observation.
