Re: Using mm with backhoe attached
Does anyone know why Kubota says to detach the hoe before using a mid mount mower? I've seen on YouTube some people using it with the hoe still mounted. Is there some conflict with the area where the 3ph and hoe mounts, I have had the BX 25 d for just a couple of months now and don't want to screw up warranty. I'm a newby at the tractor life. All the expert farmers around my small place told me I made the right choice with the BX.
I have never seen that in print, I have cut several acres with the hoe and the 60 mmm. I have cut with loader and hoe still attached several dozen times
I would NOT want to run the tractor with the loader off and the hoe on.....
there is no conflict - other than the hoe and 3 point WORK on the same connection - cannot use both of THOSE at the same time........
The reason would be safety - the rear is sticking out and sticking up a good deal - the center of gravity is raised up considerably. If you were to cut a lot - and you have hills, low lying trees - I would take both front and rear off. I took my MMM off and could feel the difference in center of gravity shift up - so taking the weight off the front and the rear would be like having another machine! Lightweight and unbulky!
You cannot hurt anything at all while using the MMM with the others attached.
I bought another kubota so that I would not have to take off the front and rear attachments.
It is not hard to remove the hoe nor the loader - but I will tell you this - DONT do it unless you have a nice level floor!!!

Otherwise you will invent some new cuss-words! IF you remove the hoe for more than a few hours, get a dolly - if you allow the hoe to sit on the stabilizers - it will leak down!
